Apple has just launched a new, more powerful and compact Mac Mini, equipped with the latest M4 chip and supporting ray-tracing technology, a feature making its debut in the product line.
The latest model comes with 16GB of RAM as standard, setting a new benchmark for Apple's product line.
The basic M4 version starts at $599, while the more powerful M4 Pro costs from $1,399.
Apple has started taking pre-orders and will officially release the product on November 8th.

The most striking feature of the Mini M4 is its ultra-compact design, measuring just 5 inches in length and width – significantly smaller than its predecessor.
Apple states that the device is capable of efficient cooling thanks to a new heat dissipation structure on the M4 chip, which directs airflow to different components and expels it through a ventilation system at the base of the device.
In terms of connectivity, the device has also been upgraded with two USB-C ports and a 3.5mm audio jack on the front, while the rear features Ethernet, HDMI, and three USB-C/Thunderbolt ports. Notably, the USB-A ports have been removed, but Apple has compensated by adding a Thunderbolt port, bringing the total number of ports to five.
The speed of these ports depends on the M4 chip version: the standard version comes with Thunderbolt 4, while the M4 Pro supports Thunderbolt 5 with higher speeds.

The M4 Pro version delivers powerful performance with 14 CPU cores and 20 GPU cores.
Users can configure up to 32GB of RAM with the standard M4 or 64GB with the M4 Pro, and storage capacity can reach a maximum of 8TB.
Additionally, users can also opt for 10 gigabit Ethernet, offering flexibility for professionals and creative users who need a powerful device in a compact size.
This launch follows the introduction of iMacs using the M4 chip, also unveiled last week, along with the first rollout of “Apple Intelligence” features across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, with more AI integrations expected in December.
Rumors suggest that Apple will soon announce 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the higher-performance M4 Pro and M4 Max chips.
