According to Bloomberg, reporter Mark Gurman stated in his latest Power On report that Apple not only improves its own processor chips and displays on iPhones but also manufactures batteries and image sensors for cameras. This further aligns with Apple's philosophy in the mobile sector, where the company has significant control over the creation of its own components, setting it apart from competitors.

Apple aims to master image sensor technology for future iPhones.

Gurman believes that Apple's processor chips for smartphones, tablets, and PCs will transition to 2nm manufacturing technology in the near future. The company is also developing its own modems and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth controllers to replace those from Qualcomm and Broadcom, along with several other in-house component initiatives.

First, microLED displays will appear on the Apple Watch, and then they will be expanded to other devices from the brand. This work has been underway for at least 5 years with varying degrees of success.

Secondly, the development of more advanced batteries is done in collaboration with specialized companies. Apple expects to be able to independently develop advanced technologies in this field in the future, but will still be forced to outsource battery production to subcontractors.

Finally, Apple is investing resources in developing its own image sensors for the iPhone camera. The iPhone's camera capabilities are a key feature in the eyes of consumers, so the company wants to gain a competitive advantage in this area. Additionally, these developments will be helpful for Apple in developing augmented reality devices and active driver assistance systems for self-driving cars.
