At 9:20 this morning (January 2), VietinBank customers were also unable to contact the bank's hotline number 1900558868.

Explaining the incident, VietinBank said the bank's switchboard was temporarily down due to a "telecommunications network error".

Sending an apology to customers, the bank said it is working with the network operator to resolve the issue as soon as possible. VietinBank will update customers as soon as the problem is resolved.

"During this time, priority customers can contact the call center via video call channel by accessing the VietinBank iPay application from version 5.7.3," the bank announced.

At 11:10 a.m. on January 2, VietinBank's call center returned to normal operation.

On the first day of the new year 2025, VietinBank customers were unable to log into the bank's electronic banking system.

Specifically, from 8:45 a.m. on January 1, e-Banking services; Online payment services; Collection and payment services; 247 money transfer... will be temporarily interrupted.

After efforts to fix the problem, the system was restored at 12:00 noon the same day.

The problem with the above service system has caused inconvenience to many customers who need to make money transfer payments.

Previously, TPBank customers were also completely interrupted in digital channels, cards and transaction counters in December 2024.
