Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai: Manager passionate about creativity

With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Manager of the Organic Fertilizer Production Workshop of Nam Thanh Construction - Trading & Production Co., Ltd., has always promoted a sense of responsibility, diligence, and creativity to excellently complete assigned tasks, with many technical innovation initiatives that benefit the company by hundreds of millions of dong each year.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai was honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Born and raised in a farming family in Bac Phong commune (Thuan Bac), after graduating from junior high school, due to difficult family circumstances, Mr. Hai dropped out of school to work for hire to earn a living and support his family. In 2003, he applied to work as a worker at Nam Thanh Construction - Trading & Production Company Limited. Due to his lack of technical qualifications, he was assigned to push a cart of manure to dry and do some other manual work in the fertilizer production workshop. Although the work was hard, he always upheld his sense of responsibility, was patient, and worked hard to complete the assigned tasks well. In 2007, he was assigned to be the Deputy Manager of the workshop. In 2016, he was assigned to be the Manager of the workshop. Since taking on the new task: Monitoring and managing the operation process of machinery and equipment and labor productivity in the workshop, he has had the opportunity to contact, explore, and better understand machinery and equipment, thereby promoting creative thinking and having many technical innovation initiatives to improve labor productivity, production, and improve the working environment. Typically, his initiative "Improving organic humus crusher" in 2018 helped increase the operating capacity of the organic humus crusher by 20% compared to before, benefiting the company more than 120 million VND/year. Or the initiative "Improving and upgrading the organic humus production line" in 2021 helped increase the volume of organic humus after being crushed by 15% compared to before, benefiting the unit more than 150 million VND/year. And his most recent initiative is "Improving the production line of organic microbial fertilizers". Mr. Hai said: In the stage of mixing organic humus with microorganisms to create moisture for the finished organic fertilizer, previously it required 2 people using manual tools to scoop humus into 5 humus-containing pans and 1 more person to do the mixing step. The work was extremely hard and toxic. After a period of research, he proposed to the company to manufacture a mixing cage to replace workers in the stage of mixing humus with microorganisms; at the same time, using a machine to scoop organic humus into the pan instead of using human power. Thanks to his initiative, the operating capacity of the equipment has increased by 15% and the organic content in the fertilizer has increased by 15%, improving the quality of the finished product, benefiting the company by more than 150 million VND/year.

Not only does he excel in his professional duties, he is always close to and helps his colleagues in work and production; actively participates in movements launched by the company and trade unions; and is trusted and loved by leaders and colleagues. Mr. Hai shared: To achieve good results at work, in my opinion, each individual must first promote a high sense of responsibility and make every effort to complete assigned tasks well; at the same time, he must always put the interests of the collective and community above all else, only then can passion and dedication be created.

With his efforts, creativity and contributions, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai was recently honored to receive the Nguyen Duc Canh Award 2023 from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
