On the morning of November 27, at Gia Lam Airport (Hanoi), Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Head of the Steering Committee for the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition chaired an inspection of the preparations for the exhibition. Also attending was Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee.

At the end of the inspection and rehearsal, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien and Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan presented gifts to representatives of the forces participating in the performance at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.

On the same afternoon, a squadron of Su-30MK2 fighters and Mi helicopters practicing for the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 conducted practice flights in the sky of Hanoi.

Seven Su-30MK2 fighters flew in two formations over the exhibition area.

The opening ceremony could not be without the welcome flight performance of the Vietnam Air Force with 7 SU-30MK2 fighters and 7 helicopters of various types such as Mi8, Mi171 and Mi172 belonging to Division 371, Air Defense - Air Force.

The squadron consisted of 7 Su-30MK2s and 7 Mi helicopters.

7 Mi helicopters took off from Hoa Lac Airport (Hanoi), divided into two teams, 3 helicopters flying first and 4 helicopters flying next.

The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 is scheduled to take place from December 19 to 22, 2024 at Gia Lam Airport (Hanoi). This is one of the activities in a series of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
