Andrey Rublev has become the fifth player to officially secure a ticket to the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin (Italy, from November 12 to November 19) after the Russian star defeated Matteo Arnaldi 7-5, 6-3 in the second round of the Vienna Open in Austria.

Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner have already registered their names in the tournament for the world's eight best tennis players. The remaining three spots are up for grabs between Stefanos Tsitispas, Alexander Zverev, Holger Rune, Taylor Fritz, Hubert Hurkacz, Casper Ruud, Tommy Paul, Alex de Minaur, Karen Khachanov and Ben Shelton.
In the second round of the ATP 500 Vienna Open, fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas only had to face Tomas Machac, but the Greek player struggled to win after 3 sets with the scores of 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.
In the second round of the ATP 500 Basel Open in Switzerland, Casper Ruud faced home player Dominic Stricker. The Norwegian star lost 4-6 in set 1, won 6-3 in set 2, but in the deciding set 3, Casper Ruud lost 6-7 and was eliminated bitterly.
Top seed Holger Rune beat Sebastian Baez 7-6, 6-1 and sixth seed Felix Auger-Aliassime beat Botic van de Zandschulp 6-4, 6-2 in the second round of the Basel Open.
