Impressed with the Capital Alumni Gala Music Night

The yard of the University of General Sciences (now the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) was bustling from early afternoon when former students of the capital from famous universities returned to participate in the bustling gala organized by My Thanh Advertising and Entertainment Company.

The late spring rain could not cool down the warm and passionate atmosphere of thousands of spectators, recalling the endless music nights of the 1990s - the decade of explosion and romance. Attending the 2025 Capital Alumni Gala, despite being in her 50s, Miss Noel 1996 Hoang Xuan still dressed youthfully. She and her fellow models from the Model Queen group in Hanoi performed fashion shows on stage.

Many friends met at the gala without prior arrangement and shook hands and congratulated each other. Hoang Xuan was surprised because he had a space to meet old friends from his time at Tran Phu High School and University and relive old memories.

The audience was immersed in Pop, Rock and even Heavy Metal music styles with the participation of bands that rose from the capital's student movement such as Phuong Dong, Thoi Gian, Ngua Hoang, Chia Khoa Vang, Purple Blues. Artists Thanh Lam, Bang Kieu, Thuy Dung, Thanh Tam, Thao Van, Dinh Lan Huong, Long Vu, Tung John, Lien Trinh, ABBA Vietnam... expressed their enthusiasm in each song.

Pop, Rock and even Heavy Metal are performed passionately by bands that rose from the student movement of the capital to professional bands and artists associated with the memories of an entire generation.

One of those impressive performances was that of MC Thao Van. Appearing on stage in a white ao dai, singing "City of Love and Nostalgia" for the first time in front of thousands of special audiences in the Capital, MC Thao Van was a bit nervous.

She shared emotionally: "If I sing out of tune, please forgive me. We are reliving our 20s like Thao Van's son now, it's so beautiful. I have friends that I haven't seen for a long time, so I feel very happy."

The audience was not only impressed by Thao Van's voice and professional performance style, but also surprised when singer Thai Thuy Linh suddenly appeared on stage to shield her senior from the rain as the rain became heavier and heavier.
