With more than 90 performances from 26 participating groups, the Northern Region Elderly Singing Festival recently held in Ha Tinh City has become a cultural exchange festival, leaving many impressions in the hearts of the audience.
What is special about the 2023 Northern Region Elderly Singing Festival is that most of the participating groups staged performances with regional identities, honoring the cultural heritage of their homeland. Bac Giang group brought to the festival the ancient song "Co Be Thuong Ngan".
The performance left a lasting impression on the audience as it recreated the joyful atmosphere of the Mother Goddess worship rituals in the North in ancient times.
Ha Tinh audiences were immersed in the melodies of the northern mountainous region of the Fatherland - the revolutionary homeland through the Then singing and Tinh lute "From Pac Bo source" by the art troupe of the elderly in Cao Bang province.
The Xoan singing performance “Trong Quan welcomes peach blossoms” by the Phu Tho province’s elderly art troupe also left deep impressions.
The lyrical Quan Ho cultural space with the image of Lien Anh and Lien Chi wearing conical hats during the festival season, was warmly recreated by the Bac Ninh province's elderly art troupe through the performance "Doi Ca Song Cau".
The art of Cheo is considered a “specialty” of the rice farmers in the Northern Delta. Therefore, at this festival, many troupes have included Cheo in their performances, highlighting the cultural identity of the region. Along with Ha Tinh, a number of other provinces and cities also co-own Ca Tru - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. At the festival, the art of Ca Tru was honored by the musical instruments and lyrics of the elderly singers and artists. In addition to folk songs with regional cultural heritage, the 2023 Northern Elderly Singing Festival also features many solo, duet, and group performances of traditional and revolutionary songs praising the homeland. The duet "Your city, my city" by the Hai Phong City senior art troupe was one of the impressive performances at the festival.
Although not professional, the male and female actors of the Hanoi senior art troupe left a deep impression when they skillfully performed the harmony techniques in the performance "Praise the Fatherland".
According to the organizers, many elderly art troupes have invested carefully in staging the program. From creating meaningful themes to choosing songs, performances, practicing and investing in performance costumes... The Northern Region Elderly Singing Festival took place from September 29-30 in Ha Tinh City. The festival had the participation of 26 mass art troupes, bringing together nearly 400 elderly actors from 26 provinces and cities in the Northern region. As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 10 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 6 C prizes to groups; awarded the 2 oldest male and female actors; awarded 20 prizes for the best solo performance; 7 prizes for the best duet performance; 28 prizes for the best group singing and scene singing. Of which, 10 A prizes for groups included: Ha Tinh, Ha Noi, Thanh Hoa, Cao Bang, Thai Binh, Dien Bien, Hung Yen, Nghe An, Ha Nam, Hai Phong; 10 B prizes for groups included: Son La, Bac Ninh, Lai Chau, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Nam Dinh, Bac Can; 6 C prizes for groups included: Bac Giang, Lao Cai, Hai Duong, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh. |
