The orchid contest is an activity in response to the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023. This is also an opportunity for artisans, orchid clubs, gardeners, seed and fertilizer suppliers to exchange and connect. Through this, everyone can express their passion and love for orchids, as well as contribute to promoting the movement of growing and playing orchids to develop more and more strongly. “In the two times the orchid contest was held in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, I brought my work to participate. This time, my work won first prize in the general orchid category. This is a work that I have grown and cared for for more than 5 years. After more than 20 years of growing, caring for and playing orchids, I have received many high awards in domestic competitions. But this competition still leaves me with my own emotions,” said Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Hien (Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province).

Orchids are a popular flower because they are not only beautiful but also have high economic value. The number of orchid growers is also increasing, so these orchid competitions not only aim to promote the brand but also introduce works with high economic value. Coming to the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa orchid competition, people can admire beautiful works of flowers, leaves, stems, roots, etc. "The Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa orchid competition is held in the right season, so many excellent orchid works have been submitted to the competition. The flowers and branches of orchids bloom at the right time, so the shape, size and color are all very beautiful", said Mr. Nguyen Trong Luan - an orchid lover from Dien Khanh district.

According to Mr. Phan Minh Kinh - Chairman of the Provincial Ornamental Plants Association, although it took place in a short time, this orchid contest was organized quite thoughtfully. The number of works submitted for the contest and display was relatively large, but they were received, arranged, and positioned reasonably. The works were diverse in species, brilliant in color, and eye-catching in display, so they brought an impressive space to the contest. The winning entries all went through a fair selection and voting process by the jury members, so there were no complaints or dissatisfaction. The contest aims to promote the movement of growing artistic orchids in the province as well as in other provinces and cities. In addition, this is also a playground and bridge for orchid lovers to share experiences, help each other in buying, selling, and exchanging orchid products.
