SaPo Production and Trading Company Limited in Khanh Hong Commune (Yen Khanh District) brought to the Exhibition a 4-star OCOP product - Hong Hac incense.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai, the company's sales manager, said: Flamingo Incense has been produced since 2017 from Vetiver grass. With the difference in materials, scent, safety and friendliness when used, Flamingo Incense is constantly expanding its consumer market.
Each year, the company brings over 15,000 boxes of products to the market. Notably, the company has recently produced a new type of incense from the Cyperus rotundus plant. This new type of incense has initially established its reputation in the market. Each month, the company sells 600-700 boxes of incense.
"To sell our products, we have agents in many places. This is the second time we have participated in fairs and exhibitions to display and introduce our products in our hometown. Many customers have come to visit, learn about and buy the new incense. They were very excited to hear interesting stories about the journey of turning grass roots into fragrant and safe incense sticks. This is really a good opportunity for us to promote our products." - Ms. Hoai said.
Coming from the remote province of Cao Bang, Ms. Dinh Thi Kim Tuyen's stall attracts customers with its rustic, unique and typical products. Ms. Tuyen is the owner of the famous Dinh Tuyen black jelly production facility in Thach An, Cao Bang province.
Her facility was recognized as a 3-star OCOP product at the provincial level from 2022. With the desire to develop the products of her hometown, becoming a unique culinary feature, gaining a foothold in the market, the facility always tries to improve production methods, enhance product quality, and build the Dinh Tuyen black jelly brand to reach far and wide.
In particular, to help many people and places enjoy this rustic dish, the facility has taken advantage of many channels to introduce the product. Participating in fairs and exhibitions is also one of the methods that the facility is very interested in.
"This is the first time I have personally brought products to Ninh Binh. I am very happy to see the interest and enthusiasm of local customers. Developing the market, consuming products and especially, more meaningfully, products from the distant land of Cao Bang have a place in the hearts of customers from far away."
The space for promoting and connecting OCOP products is an activity within the Exhibition "Space of Cultural Heritage and Traditional Craft Products" in Ninh Binh - an activity in a series of events to celebrate the 2nd Ninh Binh Festival in 2023. The exhibition is organized by the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center in coordination with the Central Office for Coordination of New Rural Areas and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Binh province.
With over 400 m2 of display floor, promotion space, and connection of OCOP products in our province, there is the participation of nearly 20 provinces and cities and dozens of units, enterprises, and cooperatives from provinces and cities: Hanoi, Ha Giang, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Lai Chau, Thanh Hoa, Long An...

An important part of the OCOP product promotion and connection space in our province is the display, promotion and connection of typical OCOP products of the province.
Participating in this event, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Binh selected and displayed dozens of typical OCOP products with development potential from entities from districts and cities in the province such as Bo Bat Pottery, Golden Flower Tea, Dinh Lang Cao, An Thai Tea, Germ Tea, Nutritional Cereal Powder, Fish Shred, Bodhi Leaf Painting, Turmeric Starch Pills, Wine Products, Meat with Shrimp Paste, Royal Crispy Rice, Cordyceps Mushrooms, Na Phu Long...
Ninh Binh's OCOP products are beautifully displayed, attracting visitors and shoppers, leaving a great impression on domestic and foreign tourists who come to visit the space and experience it.
Ms. Nguyen Hong Hanh, Ninh Khanh Ward (Ninh Binh City) said: The exhibition "Cultural Heritage Space and Traditional Handicraft Products" has brought many interesting activities. Not only did I get to see the art performances of ethnic groups in the country, but I was also interested in many booths displaying OCOP products from different regions. It is rare to have the opportunity to experience these products if there is no exhibition and introduction in my hometown.
The interesting thing is that when we meet the people who produce these products directly, we also get to listen to the stories behind each product to appreciate more the love and labor of people and to understand more about the culture in each region.
Mr. Hoang Van Du, Deputy Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, said: The products made by production facilities are not many enough to be put into large distribution channels, so we have to exploit and approach the market in a different way, based on the uniqueness of the local product. It is not just a normal product, it is also an ambassador conveying humanistic product stories of the region, contributing to promoting economic development in many localities.
Such exhibitions and displays are very practical activities to introduce, promote and connect OCOP products; enhance the image of the Vietnamese OCOP brand to domestic and international tourists. Thereby, contributing to arousing the potential, products, culinary and cultural values of regions and expanding the consumption market, connecting and trading for local OCOP products. At the same time, promoting propaganda and promoting unique indigenous knowledge and culture to tourists about OCOP products and enhancing the tourism image of localities.
