Although the workload in the first 3 months of 2025 was extremely large, with many important and urgent tasks, Party committees and authorities from the provincial to grassroots levels demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and made continuous efforts to complete the set political goals.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang emphasized that the reorganization and streamlining of the apparatus of Party agencies and government agencies were carried out resolutely and effectively. The province promptly adjusted and supplemented working regulations, issued regulations on the functions and tasks of a number of agencies after the reorganization, ensuring smooth and effective operation. The work of consolidating and perfecting provincial steering committees was focused on, aiming to enhance leadership and direction in key areas. In particular, Party committees and authorities at all levels did a good job of disseminating, propagating, orienting ideology and public opinion, ensuring solidarity, consensus and high unity among cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers and the entire people, creating a combined strength to successfully implement the Party's important policies.

Party building work achieved many results

Mass mobilization work has been innovated with many diverse forms, listening to and promptly resolving the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people, consolidating trust and consensus in society. Patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the emulation movements "Skillful mass mobilization", "Skillful mass mobilization in building new rural areas" continue to be launched, attracting a large number of cadres, civil servants, union members, association members, and people to participate, creating a vibrant atmosphere, aiming to achieve achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels and the Patriotic Emulation Congress of the province. According to Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung, the province's socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2025 recorded positive signs. Although still facing common difficulties of the economy, An Giang has flexibly adapted and effectively taken advantage of opportunities. Key economic sectors continue to maintain stable growth momentum, production and business activities gradually recover and develop. An Giang continues to reap many positive results, maintaining a good growth rate compared to the same period in 2024 in a variety of fields, making important contributions to the completion of the set socio-economic goals.

Specifically, GRDP growth in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated at 7.12% - an impressive figure when compared to 5.52% in the same period last year. The main economic indicators show strong growth, as evidenced by the industrial production index increasing by 9.85%, export turnover reaching 302 million USD (up 0.46%), total revenue from tourism activities reaching 4,700 billion VND (up 4.4%), budget revenue reaching 2,695 billion VND, exceeding the estimate by 35%. In particular, the province successfully organized the ceremony to receive the UNESCO certificate recognizing the Ba Chua Xu Sam Mountain Festival as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, opening the Ba Chua Festival in 2025, contributing to promoting local tourism and culture.

The province continues to pay close attention to social security work, implementing it promptly, for the right subjects, and in the right regime. The policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is being implemented resolutely, aiming to complete it before April 30, 2025 for people with meritorious services and completely in the whole province before the end of June 2025. In addition, the fields of culture, education, health, and social security have received investment attention, with positive changes, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people.

Along with the efforts to develop the socio-economy, the province has given top priority to national defense and security. In the context of complicated developments in the world and the region, An Giang has proactively implemented measures to maintain political security and social order and safety in the area. The provincial armed forces have maintained a high level of vigilance, ready to respond to all situations, firmly protecting sovereignty, border security and the peaceful life of the people.

The results achieved in the fields of Party building, mass mobilization, socio-economics, national defense and security are clear evidence of the province's tireless efforts and determination on the path to building an increasingly prosperous, civilized and sustainably developed An Giang.

To complete the goals and tasks of 2025, An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang requested Party committees, authorities, all levels and sectors, especially leaders, to uphold the spirit of responsibility, dynamism, and creativity; strictly implement regulations, working order, discipline, public ethics..., "not neglect any task because of organizational arrangements", determined to successfully carry out the political tasks of 2025 and the Resolution of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.
