This event marks a pivotal step for Amway in improving the quality of nutrition research, promoting professional exchange and finding optimal solutions to improve public health, especially in Vietnam.
According to the National Nutrition Strategy for the 2021-2023 period and vision to 2045, approved by the Prime Minister on January 5, 2022, all people have the right to equitable access to nutrition and food to achieve optimal nutritional status, contributing to improving health.
The National Nutrition Strategy also emphasizes the task of basic research and scientific and technological research on nutrition and food suitable for Vietnamese people as well as strengthening communication and nutrition education. All of these tasks aim to improve the nutritional status suitable for each subject, locality, region, and ethnicity, contributing to reducing the burden of disease, improving the stature, physical strength and intelligence of Vietnamese people.
In light of this reality, the cooperation between NIN and NHI aims to leverage each other’s strengths to jointly address the nutritional issues that Vietnam is facing. This collaboration demonstrates the commitment of both parties to working together with the community, aiming to improve people’s health and quality of life.
This cooperation is part of Amway's "Live Healthy, Live Happy" Strategy, affirming its commitment to accompanying the community through scientific research and nutrition awareness programs.
At the signing ceremony, the two sides agreed to cooperate closely with specific focuses: In the field of scientific research: coordinate research on nutritional habits, nutritional components in food and research on nutritional supplements for target groups in the community.
In communicating and disseminating knowledge about nutrition: building communication programs to raise public awareness, encourage proactive healthy lifestyles, aiming to build a healthier and happier life for the community.
NHI has the strength of international experts in nutrition science from academia and the medical industry, specializing in scientific research, education and personalized solutions to help consumers achieve optimal health. With many years of experience in researching and developing high-quality nutritional products, NHI works with NIN to provide appropriate nutritional solutions for the Vietnamese people.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Duong - Director of the National Institute of Nutrition said: "This international cooperation will take advantage of the strengths of both sides in advanced technology and local knowledge to promote deeper and more sustainable research. We believe that this cooperation will contribute positively to improving people's nutritional situation and enhancing quality of life."
