The new school in the resettlement area will be for the first and second graders of Lang Nu. Before the storm and flood, the old school had 29 students, but after the storm, there were only 26 students left, 3 of whom were unfortunately swept away by the flood. The new school and new village have just been handed over to the local households.

The clear laughter and eager eyes of children at the schools in Nu village are the clearest evidence of the strong vitality of the land that once struggled in the fierce storm.

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang visited students at the school in the Lang Nu resettlement area on December 22.

On December 23, after the inauguration of the Lang Nu resettlement area, Phuc Khanh primary and secondary school students were happily taken to school by their parents.

Green tree system is arranged in the school campus in the resettlement area of ​​Lang Nu.

Here, grade 1 has 13 students, grade 2 has 14 students. Students from grade 3 and up will study at the main school.

The terrible flash flood that hit Lang Nu village (Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province) left 7 kindergarten students and 13 students of Phuc Khanh commune Primary and Secondary School No. 1 permanently without the chance to return to class with friends and teachers.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, homeroom teacher of class 2A, said: "For students who have returned to school, we try to make up for the knowledge they missed during the break. Along with that, the important thing is to stabilize their psychology. The teachers in the school all have love for the students, especially those who lost their relatives and homes in Lang Nu."

There are 37 students in the kindergarten at the Lang Nu resettlement area. Teaching and learning equipment has been fully arranged. Each class will have 6 play corners so the teachers will decorate them according to the theme, such as the study corner, the art corner, the math corner. Outside, there is a parent corner, ethnic corner and Christmas decoration...

Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa, a teacher of the 2-3 year old class, said: "At first, we had to work very hard to keep the children from being frightened. The children were innocent, and every day they often repeated questions like where is this friend, where is that friend going. Now that they are studying at the new school, they seem to have forgotten their sadness and are happy again."
