According to Engadget , the game's fall 2023 release schedule is constantly changing, as Remedy Entertainment and publisher Epic Games have pushed back the release date of Alan Wake II by 10 days, specifically October 27. It seems that this decision is not related to taking more time to complete the game.

According to the development team, the delay of Alan Wake II 's release date will give people more time to experience other big games that are also released in October. Specifically, the official X account of the Alan Wake game posted: "October is a great month for game releases and we hope this release date change will give people more space to enjoy their favorite games."

Alan Wake II will officially launch on October 27.

The new release date will also bring the survival horror title closer to Halloween, and in the meantime, fans will be able to learn more about the game when it is revealed at Gamescom's Opening Night Live event on August 22.

October 2023 is a special month with a series of major game releases. In addition to Alan Wake 2, video game fans will also witness the appearance of other big names such as Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, Detective Pikachu Returns, Forza Motorsport, Lords of the Fallen and Cities Skylines II.

Earlier this week, Ubisoft also announced that it would release Assassin's Creed Mirage a week early on October 5, while the Batman: Arkham Trilogy will hit Nintendo's Switch console on October 13.
