NEA CEO Ahmed Bendari said voting will take place from December 10 at 9,376 polling stations nationwide, including 11,631 sub-ballot boxes.
Previously on December 7, the Egyptian National Election Authority (NEA) called on Egyptians to exercise their citizenship rights in the presidential election, taking place on December 10-12.
According to Mr. Bendari, 15,000 judges will be involved in monitoring polling stations nationwide. Additional ballot boxes have also been prepared for elderly and disabled voters, to ensure all technical and logistical requirements for the election to run smoothly.
The 2024 Egyptian presidential election is between four candidates, including incumbent President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Chairman of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party Farid Zahran, Chairman of the Al Wafd Party Abdel-Sanad Yamama, and Chairman of the Republican People's Party Hazem Omar.
The final results will be announced on December 18 if the election does not have a second round.
