From today, June 13, Agribank will supply SJC gold bars at 8 locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, after adding 5 new points of sale this week.

This bank has just announced a list of locations selling SJC gold bars since June 13. Notably, the list does not include location No. 2 Lang Ha, Ba Dinh, Hanoi - which attracts the largest number of customers to buy gold.

Speaking to VietNamNet, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Deputy General Director of Agribank, informed that the bank is preparing the technological infrastructure to sell gold online from next week. "By June 17 at the latest, customers buying gold bars at Agribank can register online on the bank's website," Ms. Phuong said.

Thus, after Vietcombank, Agribank is the second bank to launch online gold sales. The registration method is similar to that at Vietcombank.

Vietcombank also added 4 more SJC gold bar selling points since June 7, bringing the total number of gold bar selling points in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to 10, becoming the bank with the most gold selling points among the 4 state-owned commercial banks participating in selling gold to stabilize prices.

Meanwhile, BIDV and VietinBank kept the number of gold bar selling points unchanged.

Banks have also been implementing online registration for gold bar purchases. This new innovation helps make it easier for people to buy gold, avoiding the need to wait in line. At the same time, online registration is expected to prevent people from hiring people to wait in line, causing disorder.

Through the bank's website, customers can register to buy SJC gold bars at the desired location and receive appointment confirmation with information about the location, time of payment and delivery of SJC gold bars without having to come directly to queue and get a transaction number.

Notably, the bank only provides SJC gold bar sales service to customers who have registered to buy SJC gold bars online on the website.

Gold price is the listed price at the time of payment and delivery of gold bars at the bank's location.

Vietcombank said that after one day of implementing online gold purchase registration, it received positive reviews and feedback from customers. To continue optimizing the process to serve customers, from June 13, Vietcombank adjusted the transaction time for buying gold bars.

Accordingly, the time to register to buy SJC gold bars online is from 9am to 4pm. The time for payment and delivery of gold at Vietcombank's SJC gold bar sales points is from 10am to 11:30am (morning) and from 1:30pm to 4pm (afternoon). Previously, the bank only accepted payment and delivery of gold bars in the afternoon.
