ACB Bank published a report on sustainable development (ESG), in which the average income of employees reached 417 million VND/year.
On October 31, a representative of Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) said that the bank has just released the 2022 Sustainable Development Report.
The sustainability indicators related to Environment (E), Society (S) and Corporate Governance (G) are selected and presented by ACB based on the reference to the Disclosure Standards established by the Global Sustainability Reporting Standards Board (GSSB) as well as the reference to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
Regarding the working environment, the retention rate of employees with 3 years or more of seniority at ACB is 90%, the average income of ACB employees in 2022 is 417 million VND. ACB's average service quality score is 93.4/100, customer satisfaction with the bank is 8.39/10 points.

According to ACB's ESG Report, in 2022, the bank saved and recycled 215 tons of paper; the amount of plastic used was reduced by 32 tons; the amount of greenhouse gas emissions reduced through saving electricity and paper was equivalent to 300 tons of CO2; 100% of wastewater was eligible for discharge into the environment; 100% of waste was classified at source... The bank's goal from 2023-2025 is to collect 300 tons of plastic waste.
Regarding the contribution to economic development, ACB has total assets of 608,000 billion VND, loan market share of about 3.44%, customer deposit market share of 3.52%.
In 2022, ACB's bad debt ratio will be maintained below 1%. Return on equity (ROE) will reach 26.5%. Dividends will be maintained at 25%. Contribute more than VND 2,569 billion to the state budget. The bank will also allocate VND 1,055 billion to the poor in the provinces.
ACB representative said that the bank wants to contribute to preserving a better living environment for future generations through sustainable business, showing respect for the environment and society. The bank also hopes that the ESG model will be a source of inspiration to encourage businesses, partners, and customers to practice ESG together.
Sustainable development reports are now one of the valuable tools of enterprises to demonstrate competitiveness, creativity, and response to new development trends.
With the recently announced 9-month 2023 business results, ACB is a rare private bank to record positive profit growth in the context of many banks recording a decrease in profits compared to the same period. This bank's pre-tax profit reached more than 15,000 billion VND, completing 75% of the 2023 cumulative plan, with a bad debt ratio among the lowest in the market. Return on equity (ROE) is at 24.5%.
