ABIC pays Credit Security Insurance benefits in Giong Trom district

On August 16, 2024, Agricultural Bank Insurance Joint Stock Company (ABIC) Ben Tre Branch organized the payment of Credit Security insurance benefits to 7 customers borrowing capital from Agribank Giong Trom with a total amount of more than 2.1 billion VND.

Specifically, ABIC Ben Tre Branch paid insurance benefits to family representatives of the following customers: Mr. Dang Van Tien (Hung Le Commune), Mr. Nguyen Van Tiep (Luong Quoi Commune), Mr. Dang Van Tuan (Hung Nhuong Commune), Mr. Nguyen Van Huy (Phong Nam Commune), Mr. Vo Ngoc Thanh (Binh Hoa Commune), Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung (Phong Nam Commune), Mr. Le Van Chinh (Long My Commune). These are customers who, when borrowing capital from Agribank Giong Trom, voluntarily participated in Credit Security Insurance but unfortunately encountered health risks, accidents and passed away.

ABIC representative pays insurance to families in Giong Trom district

Mr. Dang Van Chinh - representative of Mr. Dang Van Tien's family, who received insurance payment, said that the family had received dedicated guidance from consultants to resolve insurance benefits. The insurance benefits received helped the family pay off the loan as well as cover and continue living after the unfortunate incident happened to a relative.

It is known that from the beginning of 2024 to now, Agricultural Bank Insurance has paid compensation to 87 cases of customers participating in Credit Security Insurance in the whole Ben Tre province with an amount of more than 9.7 billion VND and 18 other cases are in the process of collecting documents with an estimated payment amount of more than 1.8 billion VND by July 31, 2024.

Mr. Quach Ta Khanh, Deputy General Director of Agribank Insurance, emphasized that Agribank Insurance's Credit Security Product is a humane and social security product linked with Agribank in accordance with the Party's guidelines and State policies on the development of Agriculture; Rural areas and Farmers. For customers who have a loan relationship with Agribank when voluntarily participating in purchasing insurance, if unfortunately there are unexpected risks or losses that are unforeseen in life such as illness, disease or accident affecting the health, life... of the borrower within the scope of insurance, Agribank Insurance will, on behalf of the borrower, pay the Bank the compensation amount corresponding to the amount of insurance participation and the remaining amount (if any) paid to the beneficiary on the insurance application. For banks, when borrowers unfortunately encounter risks, Agribank Insurance will pay the bank on behalf of the borrower to preserve capital, reduce bad debts and uncollectible debts for loans (because the borrower is often the breadwinner in the family); avoid handling assets to repay debts to the Bank. For local authorities, the payment of insurance benefits by Agribank Insurance also contributes to social security work, helping households that have lost loved ones to reduce the burden of debt and have conditions to overcome difficulties.

Agribank Insurance hopes that the payment can partly share and ease the pain of losing loved ones and the burden of borrowers, thereby being able to pay off debts and continue to rise in life. Agribank Insurance wishes to demonstrate its sense of responsibility and always accompany customers in the most difficult stages of life.
