On the afternoon of June 19, answering VTC News, Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, confirmed that the 10th grade entrance exam scores may be announced at 8:00 tomorrow morning.
"After the meeting, the exam steering committee decided that if the marking, checking, scoring and comparison of exam results with computer results are completed today, the exam scores will be officially announced at 8:00 a.m. on June 20," said Mr. Minh.

After the exam scores are announced, from June 21 to June 24, candidates can submit an application for review of their exam results at their secondary school. It is expected that the specialized and integrated standard scores and direct admission results will be announced on June 23; the regular 10th grade standard scores will be announced on July 10.
According to the 10th grade exam board in 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, the score distribution of the three subjects of literature, math, and English has not changed much compared to last year.
Specifically, the number of math exams with above average scores accounted for nearly 55%, with scores concentrated at 5-7 points. The number of candidates scoring 10 points was less than last year.
About 32% of the foreign language test scores were excellent (8 points or higher). This was also the test with the highest number of candidates scoring 8 points or higher in this year's exam. The number of candidates scoring 10 points increased compared to last year, reaching about 2.2% of the total number of candidates taking the exam.
In literature, about 90% of the exams scored above average. Of these, more than 12% scored 8 points or higher.
This result shows that the innovation of the content of the 10th grade entrance exam and the innovation of teaching and learning methods have been carried out quite synchronously. Along with the math and foreign language exams, the literature exam has been innovated in a positive direction.
This year, the number of candidates getting zero points in literature and math has decreased significantly compared to last year.
Mr. Minh added that candidates who are admitted to the schools and are directly admitted will submit their admission applications from June 25 to before 4:00 p.m. on June 29. During this time, if candidates do not submit their admission applications, the school will remove their names from the admission list.
June 30th, the results of the exam review will be announced. Candidates who have passed the exam will submit their application for admission to specialized schools and integrated classes on July 5th after receiving the results of the review.
By July 10, the Department will announce the admission benchmark scores and the list of candidates admitted to regular grade 10 of public schools.
