On January 9, Mr. Luong Minh Phuc - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) said that he had just reported to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the progress of completing and opening to traffic 8 projects from now until Lunar New Year 2025.

According to the schedule, the Traffic Department will organize the inauguration and opening ceremony of 2 projects including: the project to upgrade and renovate Hang Bang canal (District 5) at 8:00 a.m. on January 17. Next, on January 20, the investor will organize the opening ceremony of the new Tan Ky - Tan Quy bridge construction project (Binh Tan District) at 8:00 a.m.

At the same time, 5 projects will simultaneously open to traffic but without a ceremony, including: the project to upgrade and expand Hoang Hoa Tham Street (Tan Binh District) from the gate of the military barracks (adjacent to the airport) to Cong Hoa Street, nearly 800m long, the road surface is 8-10m wide and will be expanded to 22m.

Construction of the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road: opening the section from Phan Thuc Duyen underpass (the beginning of the route) to Hoang Hoa Tham, and simultaneously completing 3 connection points from the road to Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat airport (above and below ground).

The remaining section (from Hoang Hoa Tham to the end of the route) is expected to be handed over before February 20 and completed and opened to traffic before April 30, ready to serve Terminal T3 which will come into operation on April 30.

Project to upgrade and expand Luong Dinh Cua Street: opening the section from Nguyen Hoang to Tran Nao intersection. However, some areas near the intersection will continue to be under construction due to delays in site clearance.

Duong Quang Ham Street upgrade and expansion project: Phase 1 of the entire route is open to traffic and phase 2 (full cross-section traffic) will be open to traffic after Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation completes the undergrounding and relocation of electric poles on April 30.

New Tang Long Bridge construction project: One unit opened to traffic.

The new Ba Hom bridge project opened the entire main bridge to traffic on January 26.

At the An Phu intersection project (Thu Duc City), the Ba Dat bridge and Giong Ong To 2 bridge have both been completed but not yet put into operation. They are expected to open to traffic along with the entire An Phu intersection by the end of 2025.

In addition, the construction project of Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Huu Tho intersection (District 7) will complete the work on the roof of HC1 and HC2 tunnels, putting the entire 2 tunnels and the Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Huu Tho intersection area into operation, serving the people on January 20.
