The beaches are selected and recommended by the "Travel Experience" community of 12,000 members and a number of local guides. The criteria for these areas are that they are not crowded, but still have basic services for tourists.

Cai Chien, Quang Ninh

Cai Chien Island is located in Hai Ha district, about 150 km from Ha Long city center and about 300 km from Hanoi. The island has a diverse terrain including sea, hills, lakes and forests, with a fresh climate. Traveling to Cai Chien Island is convenient, nearly 4 hours from Hanoi via the Hai Phong - Ha Long - Van Don expressway, then 10 minutes by boat.

The beaches on the island include Dau Rong, Van Ca, Cai Chien 1 and 2, in addition to Khe Dau Lake. The sea water is clear and blue, the seafood is fresh. According to some new visitors who arrived here in early May, the prices are reasonable, no rip-offs. Activities on the island include picking sim, catching snails, and night squid fishing. The island has a number of motels and coastal bungalows, with affordable prices, around 500,000 VND per night.

Dong Beach, Thanh Hoa

Bai Dong is located on Nghi Son peninsula, Tinh Gia district, 60 km from Thanh Hoa city center and about 220 km from Hanoi. Although not too famous, Bai Dong has recently begun to attract domestic and foreign tourists. This place still retains its wild, deserted scenery, not as crowded as Sam Son or Hai Tien.

Bai Dong has a long stretch of sand and many check-in corners for young people. On the island, there are a number of budget accommodations and resorts, with room rates ranging from 500,000 VND to 4.6 million VND per night depending on the room type. In addition to relaxing and swimming, visitors can combine a tour of Bung Island, experience fishing, boating, coral viewing, and enjoy local cuisine.

Hai Linh, Thanh Hoa

Hai Linh Beach is located in Nghi Son town, Tinh Gia district, about 45 km from Thanh Hoa city. This is a beach area that still retains many wild features with long rows of casuarinas and fine sand. From Hanoi, it takes visitors nearly 3 hours to travel here via the Hanoi - Ninh Binh and then Cao Bo - Mai Son highway.

There are no hotels or motels on the beach, visitors come here to camp or stay at nearby houses. The camping ground is flat, with a clear view of the sea, many shade trees, the beach is clean and has full camping services. This area has 2 restaurants serving seafood dishes at affordable prices.

Xuan Thanh, Ha Tinh

When Thien Cam beach has become familiar and crowded, tourists coming to Ha Tinh tend to relax at Xuan Thanh beach. The beach is located close to Nghe An province, in Nghi Xuan district. Along the beach is the My Duong river flowing from Hong Linh mountain, regulating the climate and adding to the peaceful beauty.

The entire Xuan Thanh beach has 9 hotels from budget to mid-range, with room rates ranging from 500,000 VND to nearly 2 million VND per night. Near Xuan Thanh beach, there is a golf course and local seafood restaurants with affordable prices.

Ly Son Small Island (An Binh Island, Cu Lao Bo Bai) has an area of nearly 1 square kilometer, known as the Maldives of Vietnam. The island has about 100 households, mainly working in fishing, growing vegetables, onions, and garlic. Coming here, visitors can rent a homestay, order meals cooked by the locals, with all kinds of seafood, the most prominent of which is sea urchin. Meals are fresh, delicious and cheap.

It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to travel from Big Island to Small Island, depending on the weather and means of transport. Most tourists stay on Big Island and only go to Small Island during the day. However, spend 2 nights on Small Island to enjoy the clear, deserted sea paradise. Back Beach is the most famous destination here, with clear water that allows you to see the bottom. In addition to swimming, tourists can scuba dive to see coral, kayak, take a basket boat ride around the island and visit the onion and garlic fields.

Nhon Ly fishing village, Binh Dinh

Nhon Ly fishing village is located in Nhon Ly commune, about 20 km from Quy Nhon city center, across Thi Nai bridge and Phuong Mai peninsula. In recent years, the fishing village has attracted tourists with many experiential activities such as mountain climbing to see the whole view of the sea and fishing village, SUP rowing to Dua beach to dive and see coral, renting a boat to go around the island, checking in at the milestone on the sea, visiting the traditional rural market, taking pictures with the murals.

Previously, Nhon Ly mainly welcomed day visitors, but now many tourists choose to stay overnight, even for several days, to enjoy the peaceful and deserted space. Nhon Ly has many affordable homestays, combining dining and entertainment services for individual and group guests.

Tien Thanh Beach is located in Tien Thanh Commune, Ham Thuan Nam District, about 30 km from Phan Thiet City Center. While Ham Tien - Mui Ne beach is always crowded, Tien Thanh beach is the opposite, suitable for vacationers or those who participate in sea sports such as kayaking and windsurfing. Early in the morning, visitors can go to the beach to experience pulling nets and catching fish with fishermen in the fishing village.

Some investors have built resorts along about 20 km of coastline, but they are not crowded. In addition to resorts, there are also budget motels and tent rental and camping services right on the beach to meet the needs of young people who love to explore and experience life close to nature.

Phuoc Hai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau

Located at the foot of Minh Dam mountain, Phuoc Hai town, Dat Do district, 16 km from Vung Tau city center. Phuoc Hai beach has a long stretch of golden sand and clear blue water. Different from the crowded Vung Tau city, Phuoc Hai beach has a peaceful beauty.

Phuoc Hai beach still retains the simple beauty of an old fishing village in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Visitors here can buy seafood such as crab, shrimp, squid, octopus and then process it right on the beach. If you like taking photos, check in at the strangely shaped rocks along the beach and the 1 meter high concrete wall, with a giant painting and many funny drawings. The Nuoc Ngot pass area in Phuoc Hai beach is a familiar camping spot.
