According to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, 2025 is a time of profound transformation, marking a journey of innovation in thinking and action of the young generation. Ms. Chi said that starting a business starts with career and job counseling, helping students to orient themselves properly and discover their own potential. This is also one of the important goals of the 2018 GeneralEducation Program - focusing on developing students' abilities and qualities instead of just imparting knowledge.
Deputy Director of the General Education Department Do Duc Que said that in the period 2020 - 2024, the country recorded about 8,700 startup projects from high school students - a number that shows a clear change in students' thinking and actions.
Deputy Director of the Department of Students, Tran Van Dat, affirmed that teachers play a key role in guiding, inspiring and equipping students with entrepreneurial skills. Improving teachers’ capacity in career counseling and entrepreneurship is a prerequisite for effectively implementing this activity in schools.
Many solutions were also proposed at the workshop. Dr. Le Thi Duyen (University of Education - University of Da Nang) proposed to build a specific cooperation mechanism between schools and businesses in consulting, career guidance and entrepreneurship activities. Dr. Vu Dinh Bay (Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City School of Education Management) proposed a personalized career counseling method, suitable for the characteristics, abilities and aspirations of each student.
Mr. Tran Nam Tu - Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (Ministry of Education and Training) said that in the context of the world changing strongly by the digital revolution and artificial intelligence, we need a young generation who dares to think, dares to do, pioneers in innovation and entrepreneurship. He hopes that after the forum, each student will be motivated to build a future not only for themselves but also contribute to the development of the country.
In her closing remarks at the forum, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi affirmed that students possess valuable advantages: youth, intelligence, health and time. She encouraged them to preserve their intellectual beauty, starting with small but practical actions, gradually realizing their ambitions.
The Deputy Minister also emphasized that Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation will open up great opportunities for the younger generation. At the same time, it is necessary to build the university environment into an environment of academics, research and creativity. She noted that students should build a solid system of entrepreneurial values and be ready to face risks.
The Ministry of Education and Training is committed to continuing to accompany and create conditions for the young generation to develop comprehensively, arouse the spirit of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, and contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
