72 hours in Binh Dinh to watch the F1 boat race and eat all the specialties of the land of Nau

Watching the UIM F1H2O International Powerboat Race and the UIM-ABP Aquabike Binh Dinh Grand Prix 2024 is an experience not to be missed when coming to Binh Dinh at the end of March.

Day 1: Quy Nhon - Nhon Ly Sand Dunes - Thi Nai Lagoon On the first day in Quy Nhon, visitors can spend time visiting places around Quy Nhon city. The first stop is Phuong Mai sand dunes, next to Nhon Ly beach. Located on Phuong Mai peninsula, this is a place with undulating sand dunes welcoming the sea breeze. Enjoy the fresh air, open landscape and experience sand sliding.

On the way back to the city, stop to admire the scenery at Thi Nai Lagoon. This is the largest lagoon in Binh Dinh, spanning over 5,000 hectares and over 10km long, with a rich ecosystem, hundreds of species of flora and fauna and beautiful landscapes. If you come to Quy Nhon at the end of March, you will also have the opportunity to watch the exciting competitions of the UIM F1H2O International Professional Powerboat Race and the UIM-ABP Aquabike Binh Dinh Grand Prix 2024 taking place on Thi Nai Lagoon.

After lunch and a rest, in the afternoon visitors can spend time relaxing at Trung Luong beach. This famous beach is located in Cat Tien commune, Phu Cat district, about 30km from the city center. Here visitors can swim, sightsee, eat seafood... Don't forget to visit Linh Phong historical, ecological and spiritual tourism complex, Ba Mountain Victory Relic Site and Trung Luong Cat Tien Picnic Area. If you want to enjoy the sea and sky a little longer, visitors can camp overnight at Trung Luong Picnic Area, a tourist destination located on DT639 road in Trung Luong village, Cat Tien commune, Phu Cat district.

If not camping, on the way back, visitors can visit Binh Lam ancient tower - a Cham tower in Phuoc Hoa commune. This is a relatively special ancient Cham tower in Binh Dinh. Not located on a high hill like other towers, Binh Lam tower is located in the middle of the plain, surrounded by nature and residential areas.

Day 2: Bau Da Wine Village - Tay Son Museum - Ha Ri Weaving Village Greet the new day with a bowl of famous crab noodle soup from the land of Nau. Visitors should spend the second day in the land of martial arts to visit the craft villages.

From the city center, visitors go to Cu Lam village, Nhon Loc commune, An Nhon district to visit Bau Da wine village, An Thai vermicelli village or Ha Ri weaving village. You can take the opportunity to buy specialties of these villages as gifts, especially the king's song than vermicelli, which is only available in An Thai village.

In the afternoon, if there is still time, visitors can watch the sunset on Binh Dinh hydroelectric lake. Dinh Binh lake in Vinh Hao commune, Vinh Thanh district is one of the largest irrigation - hydroelectric complexes in Vietnam. Standing on the hydroelectric lake, you can see the whole immense nature, the mountains and hills. In the evening, visitors can walk on the beach, stop by the city center square to drink coffee, watch the street or enjoy seafood specialties, spring rolls, fish cakes rolled with Vietnamese coriander... Day 3: Quy Hoa Leprosy Hospital - Ghenh Rang - Twin Towers Wake up early to go to the beach to cool off and watch the sunrise. The ideal breakfast is a bowl of fish cake noodles, rice noodles, vermicelli noodles or lagu bread.

Start the journey with a visit to Ghenh Rang tourist area, visit Han Mac Tu's grave, check-in at Egg beach. Continuing the journey, visitors will go to Tuy Hoa leprosarium - learn about where Han Mac Tu lived until the end of his life. Quy Hoa leprosarium was formed in 1929, when priest Paul Maheu (1869 - 1931) built a treatment area for leprosy patients. The beach near the leprosarium looks peaceful and pleasant with rows of rustling casuarina trees.

At noon, visitors return to Quy Nhon to eat and rest, visit the Twin Towers right in the city center before ending the 3-day Binh Dinh tour.

This March, when coming to Binh Dinh, visitors should not miss the opportunity to watch the UIM-ABP AQUABIKE Powerboat Race from March 22 to 24, 2024, with about 70 racers from 30 countries around the world participating in the competition. The UIM F1H2O International Powerboat Race will take place from March 29 to 31, 2024. This is the first time Vietnam has been named on the world map of Formula 1 powerboat racing, competing with teams from China, UAE, France, Finland, Norway, Portugal, etc. Throughout the series of events, there will be sideline activities with the goal of attracting tourists and foreign investment such as: The first Binh Dinh Traditional Boat Race and Stand-up Paddleboard Open in 2024 taking place from March 25 to 27; Binh Dinh Provincial Cross-Country Race in response to the Olympic Running Day for the health of the whole people on the morning of March 28. Binh Dinh Food Festival takes place from March 22 to 24, with the highlight being the "Buffet of 77 quintessential Binh Dinh specialties" party, and the Michelin chef show on April 23.
