On November 16, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Team 6, Traffic Police Department) said it had issued a fine to a driver who stopped and parked in the emergency lane on the highway to have dinner.
At about 6:45 p.m. on November 15, at Km 223+980 of Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway (section through Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province), the working group discovered car with license plate 85A-050.96 parked in the emergency lane.

At this time, behind the car, 7 members of a family were sitting on the street setting out food.
After working, the patrol team drew up a record to fine driver HTP (34 years old, residing in Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province) and temporarily confiscated his driver's license for further handling according to regulations.
For stopping or parking illegally on the highway, drivers will be fined 10-12 million VND and have their driving license revoked for 2-4 months.
According to Highway Traffic Patrol Team No. 6, it is very dangerous for a family to sit and eat right behind the back of a car in the emergency lane, because the driver's visibility is limited at night. In case other trucks or cars have technical problems and pull over, the consequences will be very serious.
