7 central hospitals 'join hands' to support Thu Duc in building a grade 1 general hospital

On April 11, 7 hospitals in the central medical cluster officially signed a contract to support the specialized development of Thu Duc Regional General Hospital. The participating units include: Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Binh Dan Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute, Eye Hospital, Children's Hospital 2, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital and Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology.

This is a concrete step to realize the development orientation of Thu Duc Regional General Hospital into a complete, specialized grade 1 general hospital with key points in trauma emergency and endovascular intervention, and at the same time playing a key role in the specialized medical cluster of Thu Duc region.

Aiming for internationalization

According to the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Thu Duc Regional General Hospital will not only provide basic medical examination and treatment services but also develop specialized services, aiming at international standards in a number of key specialties such as cardiovascular intervention, surgery, trauma surgery, etc.

At the same time, develop into a regional trauma center.

To achieve this goal, the hospital needs to focus on key specialty groups such as:

Strengthening basic specialties such as emergency, resuscitation, internal medicine, pediatrics, diagnostic imaging, testing... Developing advanced techniques such as endovascular intervention (cardiovascular, neurology, vascular), investing in modern equipment (CT 256 slices, MRI 3.0 Tesla...).

Strongly develop the specialty of trauma emergency (neurology, chest, abdomen, maxillofacial...) and general surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic trauma surgery, obstetrics and gynecology surgery...

Synchronously develop the remaining specialties to meet the diverse needs of medical examination, treatment and emergency care of a general hospital.

Note that priority should be given to developing individual specialties (eye, maxillofacial, ear, nose and throat) and rehabilitation specialties.

“Launch pad” for the medical model in the East of the city

Not only an independent hospital, Thu Duc Regional General Hospital is also part of the overall planning for the formation of Thu Duc specialized medical cluster. This cluster includes other major hospitals such as Oncology Hospital 2, Thu Duc City Hospital, Le Van Thinh Hospital, Le Van Viet Hospital, Eastern Military Hospital, Hoan My Thu Duc Hospital, American International Hospital...

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health requires the hospital to soon develop a development project, gradually expand its scope of operations, improve service quality and pay special attention to training medical human resources.

Cooperating with health universities and becoming a practice hospital is also a long-term strategy in the process of construction and development.

With a new, well-invested facility, modern equipment and the "backing" of 7 end-line hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, Thu Duc Regional General Hospital promises to become a reliable destination for people in the East and neighboring provinces such as Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau , while contributing to reducing the load on the city's central hospitals.
