60 candidates participate in the Coast Guard Ship Training Competition 2025

On the afternoon of April 8, at Squadron 32, the Coast Guard Region 3 Command held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Regional Ship Specialized Training Competition.

The contest was attended by 60 contestants, divided into 3 groups: Group of contestants who are squadron officers; group of ship officers; group of squadron chiefs, and ship officers. During 6 days, the contestants participated in 2 parts: theory and practice. In the theory part, the contestants participated in the test of awareness of staff work, documents on building a formal order, discipline management, combat readiness, coast guard ship regulations, troop management regulations; and specialized theory. In the practice part, the contestants participated in the test of drafting lesson plans; approving lesson plans and practicing training; practicing ship tactics training; and training in unarmed team regulations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Colonel Nguyen Minh Khanh - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Coast Guard Region 3, Head of the contest organizing committee, said: This is the first time the contest has been held, aiming to improve the quality of specialized training of coast guard ships in particular and combat training in general, to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation. Through the contest, the organizing committee assessed the command level of squadron officers; ship officers; squadron chiefs, and industry officers of the ships. Thereby, drawing lessons, supplementing content and methods to the training process and practical work at the unit.
