(NLDO) - During the 6-day Tet holiday of 2025, local police nationwide handled 37,868 traffic violations.
On January 30, the Traffic Police Department (Traffic Police, Ministry of Public Security ) announced that during the 6-day Tet holiday of At Ty 2025 (from January 25 to January 30), there were 308 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 137 people and injuring 257 people. Compared to the same period in 2024, there were 189 fewer cases, 101 fewer deaths, and 167 fewer injuries.

According to the Traffic Police Department, local police nationwide have inspected, detected and handled 37,868 violations, detained 268 cars, 12,645 motorbikes, 320 other vehicles, revoked 2,017 driving licenses of all types, and deducted driving license points from 4,105 cases.
Of which, 10,138 cases were handled for alcohol concentration violations, 9,128 cases for speeding violations, 93 cases for overloading goods, 309 cases for carrying more people than the prescribed number, and 66 cases for drug violations.
