55 years of Vinh Phuc implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament

GD&TĐ – The thematic conference “55 years – Vinh Phuc implements President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament” was held by the Standing Committee of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee on the morning of September 25.

The conference was held directly at the Vinh Phuc Provincial Convention Center and connected online to 176 points in the province with more than 24,500 officials and Party members attending.

At the conference, delegates were introduced by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Toan Thang, former Director of the Institute of Culture and Development, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, about the historical context of its birth, the core contents, the unique features, historical significance and profound values ​​in President Ho Chi Minh's Testament.

In his Testament, when talking about the Party, President Ho Chi Minh emphasized, “Our Party is a ruling Party. To fulfill the task of leading society, the Party must always be strong in politics, ideology, organization, and closely connected with the People, constantly improve the nature of the working class, take Marxism-Leninism as the ideological foundation, and the compass for all its activities…”.

He advised: “Unity is an extremely precious tradition of the Party and of our nation. Comrades from the Central Committee to the Party cells must preserve the unity and unanimity of the Party as they preserve the pupil of their eye…”.

According to Uncle Ho, to build a clean and strong Party, we must practice democracy widely, regularly, and seriously practice self-criticism and criticism; each Party member and cadre must truly imbue revolutionary ethics, be truly diligent, frugal, honest, impartial and selfless. We must keep our Party truly clean, and be worthy of being the leader and a truly loyal servant of the People...

President Ho Chi Minh's final wish was: "Our entire Party and people unite to strive to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam and make a worthy contribution to the world revolutionary cause"...

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Toan Thang affirmed: “President Ho Chi Minh's Testament is a priceless historical document, crystallizing the quintessence of his ideology, morality and noble soul, a great man who fought and sacrificed his whole life for the Fatherland and humanity.

The testament is the wish, sentiment, will, belief and responsibility of President Ho Chi Minh towards the Fatherland, the People and the revolutionary cause; it is the advice and earnest feelings, the deep belief that he left for the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army and future generations before passing away...".

Also at the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Toan Thang introduced to delegates the achievements that our country has achieved after 55 years of implementing Uncle Ho's Testament.

Along with that are the achievements that Vinh Phuc province has achieved after 55 years of implementing the Will and carrying out Uncle Ho's instructions when he visited the province in 1963, especially after 27 years of re-establishing the province.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Toan Thang also gave some suggestions on continuing to implement President Ho Chi Minh's Testament and his thoughts on Party building, preventing corruption, waste, and negativity.
