On the morning of March 29, from Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, in front of the Ham Ca Map building, more than 1,000 women participated in the ao dai parade around the lake, to the flower garden of Ly Thai To monument.
The parade includes leaders and officials of the Vietnam Women's Union; officials and members of the Hanoi Women's Union; guests and students of the Vietnam Women's Academy.
Among them are beauty queens, beauty queens, beauty contest winners, young beauties and elderly mothers and grandmothers.
The program is directed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and organized by the Vietnam Women's Newspaper to respond to "Ao Dai Week".

The highlight of the program was the event where 500 female students of the Vietnam Women's Academy dressed in ao dai with red flag and yellow star formed a map of Vietnam on Dinh Tien Hoang street, in front of Ly Thai To monument.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong - Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union - said the Ao Dai parade of students was a special highlight of this year's event.
“We believe that when you wear the traditional ao dai, you not only honor the beauty of national culture but also feel more clearly the pride of continuing good values,” said Ms. Minh Huong.
