50 years of literature and art on the theme of soldiers and revolutionary war

On March 20, the General Department of Politics and the People's Army Publishing House held a scientific conference "50 years of literature and art on the topic of armed forces and revolutionary war after national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); achievements, issues and development orientations".

The conference received 60 presentations from writers, poets, literary critics, and artists inside and outside the military. At the conference, writers and poets Nguyen Quang Thieu, Nguyen Binh Phuong, Chu Lai, Professor and Doctor Dinh Xuan Dung, Doctor Ngo Phuong Lan, Associate Professor and Doctor Nguyen The Ky, People's Artist Tu Long, People's Artist Thu Ha... and many other artists spoke and read presentations, affirming that the literary and artistic stream about soldiers and revolutionary war in the past 50 years is still an important stream, rich in humanity, with strong orientation and influence in the country's literary and artistic life.

The papers also raised the issue that this literary and artistic genre needs to be explored and innovated, and that post-war literature is still a large mineral deposit; it is necessary to find a new direction for Vietnamese revolutionary literature in the context of globalization.
