50 years of National Reunification: Lao and Cambodian military parade formations participate in joint training ceremony

On the evening of April 22, at Le Duan Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the Parade and Marching Subcommittee in the Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) organized a final rehearsal before the preliminary and State-level rehearsal of the forces participating in the parade and marching in the Celebration.

Attending the inspection of the parade and marching forces participating in the joint training was Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Parade Subcommittee, along with a number of leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security and Ho Chi Minh City.

For the first time, in the combined training program of the parade formations, a 30-minute art performance took place with the participation of more than 1,000 people.

Participating in the parade and marching rehearsal were 38 groups of armed forces (25 groups of Army, militia, 13 groups of Police), the parade group of the Lao People's Armed Forces and the Royal Cambodian Army and 12 parade groups representing mass organizations.

Specifically, the parade of the Army and Militia blocks includes the command vehicle, the entire army's flag team; the female military band block; the officer block representing the 5 military wings; the Liberation Army soldier block; the Army officer block; the Navy officer block; the Air Defense-Air Force officer block; the Border Guard officer block; the Coast Guard officer block; the Logistics-Technical officer block; the female Information officer block; the female Military Medical officer block; the Electronic Warfare soldier block; the Cyber ​​Warfare force block; the female Vietnam Peacekeeping unit; the Army soldier block; the Armored soldier block; the Special Forces soldier block; the female Commando soldier block; the Airborne Special Forces soldier block; the male Marine Militia block; the female Southern Guerrillas block; the female Northern Militia block and the Red Flag block.

Parade of the police blocks including command vehicles and police teams with all forces; block of male officers of the People's Security; block of male officers of the People's Police; block of male officers of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police; block of officers of the People's Police Air Force; block of female officers of the Traffic Police; block of male officers of the Ho Chi Minh City Police; block of officers of the United Nations Peacekeeping Police; block of male Mobile Police soldiers; block of female soldiers of the Special Forces Police; block of male Mobile Police soldiers in combat reserve; block of male forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level; block of Mobile Police Cavalry.

12 parade blocks include the block Honoring the Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, and typical historical witnesses (parading on vehicles); Vietnam Fatherland Front; Veterans block; Former Youth Volunteers for Liberation block; Workers block; Farmers block; Intellectuals block; Businessmen block; Overseas Vietnamese block; Women block; Children and Youth block; Culture-Sports block.

On the same morning, a formation of helicopters and fighter jets also conducted training flights in the sky above downtown Ho Chi Minh City.

It is expected that after this final practice session, the parade and marching forces will participate in a preliminary rehearsal on April 25 and a state-level rehearsal on April 27 on Le Duan Street.

The official parade will take place at 6:30 a.m. on April 30, with the participation of about 13,000 people./.
