50 years - a brilliant journey of Nghe An literature and art

A platform nurtured by strategic vision

Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has always paid attention, closely directed, and created a solid policy corridor for the development of literature and art. Many projects and plans such as preserving and developing languages, writings, and ethnic minority culture and art; training young artists; building a plan for literature and art development until 2030 and the following years... have become the driving force for the creative movement to spread widely.

Artistic Creation: Identity and Integration

In half a century, more than 200 literary books were published, nearly 300 works of art, more than 220 works of art photography were exhibited at national and regional levels. Hundreds of songs, scripts, dance works were created, many plays won national gold medals.

Names such as musician Le Ham, writer Nguyen The Quang, and artist Nguyen Canh Hung have brought home prestigious awards, honoring Nghe An on the regional and world art map.

In particular, the 6th Ho Xuan Huong Literature and Arts Award and the 250th anniversary of the birth and 200th anniversary of the death of poetess Ho Xuan Huong demonstrated the stature and cultural depth of Nghe An - a land of "spiritual land and talented people".

Preserving heritage - spreading national spirit

Nghe An is one of the few localities possessing many intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO such as Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs and the worship of the Three Palaces Mother Goddesses.

With 137 Vi Giam clubs, 109 folk music clubs, and hundreds of art clubs operating effectively in all localities, folk culture has truly revived, developed, and spread strongly from schools to the community.

Team Building - Cultivating “Fire Keepers”

The provincial artistic team is growing stronger with more than 385 members in 8 majors, many of whom have achieved high levels of expertise and political theory. The presence of 2 associate professors, 8 doctors, 3 people's artists and a series of excellent artisans is a testament to the remarkable growth of the province's artistic force.

Training and development work is always focused on, from specialized training courses to building school art clubs. 100% of schools include the Vi and Giam program in their curriculum, which is a proud achievement.

Cultural integration - global connection

Nghe An literature and art are constantly expanding. From Vi Giam performances in Europe, tours in Laos, Korea, Australia... to building a Vietnamese bookshelf in Laos, international cultural and artistic exchange activities have expanded spiritual borders, introducing the image of Nghe An people to friends around the world.

Cultural foundation - the core for sustainable development

The movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” associated with the construction of new rural areas has brought literature and art back to the community, becoming the breath of life. Thousands of performances, competitions, and writing camps have been held everywhere, awakening the latent creativity in every Nghe An person.

50 years is a long journey with so much effort, dedication and aspiration. But today's achievements are becoming a solid foundation for Nghe An literature and art to continue to reach out, worthy of being the "cradle" of national spirit and identity, a launching pad for Nghe An to deeply integrate in the new era.
