According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, in the first 5 months of 2024, tourism activities in the area continued to accelerate strongly, events were continuously organized; the development of new tourism products was focused on. In particular, the program to attract domestic and international MICE tourists (tourism combined with conferences, seminars, etc.); and develop wedding tourism in the period of 2024 - 2025 is being strongly promoted by the city's tourism industry.

Tourist accommodation establishments in Da Nang organize many attractive events and activities to serve tourists.

In the past 5 months, Da Nang has attracted 26 weddings in the form of wedding tourism of overseas Vietnamese brides and grooms, couples from India, Australia, Japan, Taiwan (China); Singapore, the US... In particular, there were 4 large weddings of Indian couples with more than 1,000 guests.

The Da Nang Statistics Office also recorded many new and restored international flights to Da Nang in the past 5 months. Particularly in the second quarter of 2024, international flights to Da Nang from Taiwan (China) will be operated by Starlux Airlines starting from April 2 with a frequency of 3 flights/week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday).

The Kaohsiung (Taiwan - China) route will be operated by TigerAir Taiwan again from March 31 with a frequency of 7 flights/week; Vientiane (Laos) will be operated by Lao Airlines again from April 4 with a frequency of 2 flights/week (Thursday, Sunday). In addition, from March 31, Cebu Pacific will increase the flight frequency from Manila (Philippines) to Da Nang to 4 flights/week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday compared to 3 flights/week before).

In the first 5 months of 2024, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments in the area is estimated at 3.785 million, an increase of nearly 23% over the same period in 2023. Revenue from accommodation and food services in the past 5 months is estimated at VND 10,503 billion, an increase of 22.2% over the same period last year.

According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, many outstanding events and festivals will continue to take place in the area in the summer of 2024. Among them, the 13th Southeast Asian Student Sports Festival will take place from May 29 to June 9, attracting about 1,500 athletes, coaches, and delegates from 10 ASEAN countries.

The 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2024) will take place from June 8 to July 13, including 5 competition nights with 8 teams from Vietnam, Finland, USA, France, China, Italy, Poland and Germany. Along with that are many attractive and unique supporting activities such as street festivals, Jeski performances, music shows, etc.

The 2nd Da Nang Asian Film Festival takes place from July 2 to 6; the "Enjoy Da Nang 2024" festival from July 17 to 21 with many special activities; the Vietnam - Japan festival from July 4 to 7; the first Vietnam - ASEAN festival from August 3 to 4; the Vietnam - Korea festival from August 16 to 18.

Along with that, the VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight will take place on July 13 and early morning of July 14, with an expected scale of 10,000 athletes. This is the third night race of the VnExpress Marathon system, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024 (part of the Asian Development Tour tournament system) is scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 2.
