5 reporters of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper won the "Young Pen" award

On the afternoon of June 15, the Ho Chi Minh City People - Government - Party Bloc organized a ceremony to honor and award the "Young Pen" award in 2023. The award aims to recognize and encourage the contributions of young reporters, editors and journalists on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

"Young Pen" is an award for young reporters and editors working at press and publishing units under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Government and Party Bloc. The award-winning reporters and editors are individuals with many outstanding achievements in their work, actively participating in Youth Union activities, and making many contributions to their units and society.

Awarding the winners of the "Young Pen" award

This year, the organizing committee selected 30 outstanding individuals to present the "Young Pen" award. Speaking at the ceremony to congratulate the award winners, Mr. Pham Van Linh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee of the People - Government - Party - commented that young reporters and editors, regardless of their positions, have been and are soldiers with sharp pens and intelligence, conveying the Party's guidelines and orientations, and the State's policies and laws to the public accurately, promptly and effectively.

Mr. Pham Van Linh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Party Committee of the People - Government - Party of Ho Chi Minh City delivered a congratulatory speech to the individuals who won the "Young Pen" award.

"In each of your works, you show your steadfast faith in the Party and the State, your passion for your profession, and your desire to contribute to building the country and serving the people," commented Mr. Pham Van Linh.

Mr. Linh also advised young reporters and editors to maintain their love for the profession; improve their professional skills and abilities, and always be sharp "pencils" and pure "voices" of youth. Thereby, spreading beautiful and inspiring stories, contributing to building the image of Ho Chi Minh City with a good quality of life - civilized - modern - affectionate.

Speakers share about digital transformation in journalism

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People - Government - Party Bloc also organized a forum with the theme "Digitalizing journalism - renewing thinking". At the forum, 3 speakers, Dr. Adhvaidha Kalidasan (RMIT International University Vietnam), journalist Do Thien (Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper) and Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan (product manager at CoderSchool) shared their views on the field of digital transformation in journalism.
