5 groups of students are admitted directly to grade 10 of public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, there are five groups of subjects that are directly admitted to grade 10 of public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year, including: Students from boarding schools for ethnic minorities who have graduated from junior high school are directly admitted to grade 10 of the same system; Students from ethnic minorities with very small populations as prescribed in Decree 57 of 2017 of the Government; Students with disabilities with valid certificates; Junior high school students who have won national prizes in cultural, artistic, sports, scientific and technical research competitions; Students who have won prizes in international competitions sent by the Ministry of Education and Training.

To be eligible for direct admission, students or their parents or guardians must have permanent residence in Hanoi.

Students are only admitted directly to a public high school in their permanent residence area. Students in this category must submit their applications from April 18, 2025, and the list of successful applicants will be available by May 23, 2025 at the latest./.
