5 experiences in political education work at Army Corps 1

On the morning of May 25, the Party Committee of the 1st Corps held a conference to review 12 years of implementing Directive No. 124-CT/QUTW of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee on strengthening leadership and direction of political education (GDCT) work at units in the new period (Directive 124) and 10 years of implementing the Project "Innovation of GDCT work at units in the new period". Major General Nguyen Duc Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the 1st Corps chaired the conference; Major General Truong Manh Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of the 1st Corps attended; along with leaders of agencies and units in the Corps.

In recent times, Party committees at all levels in the entire Party Committee of the 1st Corps have led and directed the close combination of innovation and improvement of the quality of political education work at the unit in the new period with the implementation of political tasks of agencies, units and schools. Therefore, the quality of training, political education, qualifications and combat readiness in the entire Corps have been improved. All live-fire drills have completed their tasks excellently; all participants in competitions and sports events organized by the Ministry of National Defense have won high prizes. The combat readiness regime and order have been strictly maintained; the awareness of law observance, discipline and building of regular order among soldiers has increasingly improved; the quality of all aspects of work has been continuously improved and enhanced, meeting the requirements of training, combat readiness and unit building tasks.

With the results achieved in implementing Directive 124 and the Project "Innovation of political education work at units in the new period", the Party Committee of the 1st Corps has drawn 5 experiences that need to be continued to be promoted in the coming time, namely: Party committees and commanders at all levels must regularly and thoroughly grasp directives, resolutions and orders from higher levels; correctly identify the position, role, importance and constantly improve the quality and effectiveness of political education work in the new period, considering this a top priority task of Party committees at all levels in leading and directing the implementation of key political tasks. Focus on promoting the role of Party committees, political commissars, political officers, commanders, political agencies and cadres and party members at all levels. In which, the political cadres are the core, ensuring that all levels, all sectors and all people promote their responsibility in participating in doing well the political education work; Implement basic political education content well, attach importance to practical political education and set good examples.

Agencies and units regularly follow reality, always promote proactiveness, creativity, promote the combined strength in political education work, closely coordinate between functional agencies; between units with local Party committees, authorities, organizations and military families; closely link political education with military training, building discipline and training, between ideological work, organization, policy and cadres. Closely combine "building" and "fighting", promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the Campaign to promote tradition, contribute talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new period; effectively prevent and combat the plots and tricks of "peaceful evolution" in the ideological and cultural fields of hostile forces.

Always pay attention to planning, training, fostering, and coaching to improve the quality of the staff; take care to build a team of cadres doing political and ideological work with good moral qualities, high capacity and professional expertise, meeting the requirements of the task, truly being brothers, sisters, and close friends of the army.

Party committees and commanders at all levels regularly take care of improving the material and spiritual life of soldiers, and pay attention to fully and synchronously investing in facilities, funds, and means to serve the work of education and training at the unit.

On this occasion, 15 collectives and 18 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the 1st Corps Command for their outstanding achievements in implementing Directive 124 and the Project "Innovation in military education work at units in the new period".
