Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the evening of October 10, Dr. Vu Duc Nhan - deputy head of the general planning department of Saigon General Hospital (HCMC) - said that at around 3:00 p.m. the same day, the hospital received information from the 115 Emergency Center about a number of suspected cases of food poisoning at Le Quy Don High School.
After approaching the students of Le Quy Don High School, the emergency team took 5 students (1 11th grader, 4 12th graders) to the hospital for observation.
At the time of admission, the children vomited a lot of food they had eaten at noon, had dull abdominal pain around the navel, and had good contact.
The emergency resuscitation team performed fluid replacement, pain relief for the patient and closely monitored the situation.
Currently, 5 students are awake, vital signs are stable, no longer vomiting or having stomach pain.
The hospital is conducting tests according to the instructions of the City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) and closely monitoring the five students in the hospital's emergency resuscitation department.
