5 units of Vietnam Post received the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Information and Communications

On the morning of July 29, the Ministry of Information and Communications held a live, online conference to review the work of Information and Communications in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. At the conference, 5 units under Vietnam Post, namely the Postal Financial Business Management Board, the Finance and Planning Board, the General Office, Lang Son Provincial Post Office, and Thai Binh Provincial Post Office, were honored to receive the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Many positive results after the first 6 months of the year According to the report at the Conference, in the first 6 months of the year, the industry's revenue is estimated at VND 2,067,389 billion, up 27% over the same period in 2023 and estimated to reach 50% of the 2024 plan. State budget contribution is estimated at VND 59,847 billion, up 25.8% over the same period last year and estimated to reach 61% of the 2024 plan. The contribution to GDP of the Information and Communications industry is estimated at VND 476,933 billion, up 22.5% over the same period last year and estimated to reach 49% of the 2024 plan. The total number of employees in the industry is estimated at about 1,530,528, up 1.3% over the same period last year.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that reducing the load on the system first means reducing reporting and digital transformation so that subordinates do not have to report to superiors about routine tasks. The Minister also emphasized that AI does not replace humans, does not surpass humans, but is an assistant to humans. Meanwhile, digital transformation is 70% change, 30% technology. The most important keyword of the digital transformation era is "cooperation". Vietnam's digital infrastructure includes: telecommunications and Internet infrastructure, data infrastructure, physical-digital infrastructure and digital transformation infrastructure. According to the Minister, the formula for success is a harmonious combination of human knowledge and the trend of the times, Vietnamese practice and Vietnamese culture. An organization that wants to go far, wants to grow into a great organization, must have a guiding ideology and theory. Digital transformation includes 2 stages, comprehensive digitalization and then changing the way of operating. Having transformed digitally, all professions must be redefined. In particular, units of Vietnam Post were honored to receive the Ministry's Emulation Flag for collectives with outstanding achievements, leading the emulation movement in 2023 including: Postal Finance Business Executive Board, Finance and Planning Board, General Corporation Office, Lang Son Provincial Post Office, Thai Binh Provincial Post Office. Specifically, in 2023, the Postal Financial Business Executive Board exceeded the emulation plan, deployed public administrative services across the network, and piloted cashless social security payments.
