Hemoglobin is also known as Hemoglobin (Hb or Hgb). This is a complex protein that contains iron and has the function of collecting and transporting oxygen to nourish the body.

Hemoglobin is the red color in red blood cells of humans and mammals. Decreased hemoglobin can cause anemia, fatigue, pale skin, cold hands and feet...

Here are 5 ways to help increase hemoglobin levels in the body:

1. Follow an iron-rich diet

Iron is an essential building block for the production of hemoglobin. Therefore, you should consume iron-rich foods such as liver, fish, beans, lentils, tofu, leafy vegetables, beets, sesame seeds, etc.

2. Increase vitamin C

You should combine iron-rich foods with foods rich in vitamin C such as citrus fruits, strawberries and bell peppers, as vitamin C enhances iron absorption, thereby increasing hemoglobin levels.

3. Increase vitamin B12

Along with the above nutrients, make sure to provide your body with enough vitamin B12, especially folate as it is essential for hemoglobin synthesis.

4. Avoid iron-blocking foods

Tannins in tea, coffee and calcium-rich foods can inhibit iron absorption, so avoid consuming them during or immediately after meals.

5. Add pomegranate juice

Regular consumption of pomegranate juice can increase the hemoglobin level in the body due to the high iron and calcium content of this fruit. Pomegranates are also rich in protein, carbohydrates and fiber.
