46,500 visitors on September 2nd holiday, tourism revenue reached 93 billion VND

Average room occupancy rate is about 60%, especially at some large-scale hotels and hotels near the sea, room occupancy rate on August 31 and September 1 is about 80-100%.

Total revenue from tourists reached 93 billion VND, up 46% over the same period last year. The two special national relics of Ganh Da Dia (Tuy An district), Thap Nhan (Tuy Hoa city) and Bai Mon-Mui Dai Lanh scenic spot (Dong Hoa town) alone attracted nearly 10,000 visitors.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen, in recent times, Phu Yen province has made many efforts in mobilizing resources to invest in infrastructure for socio-economic development associated with tourism development; gradually diversifying and improving the quality of tourism products; the system of accommodation facilities, entertainment areas, restaurants and tourism services is increasingly complete...

Phu Yen province also implements programs and policies to stimulate and develop tourism; contributing to raising the province's tourism brand, creating an effect in promoting the image of Phu Yen tourism to tourists.

On the occasion of National Day September 2, the special national relic Ganh Da Dia (An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen) attracted over 5,237 visitors.

According to the Phu Yen Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, tourism will become a key economic sector of the province. Tourism development is associated with preserving and promoting the values ​​of national cultural identity, cultural heritage and scenic spots.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thai, the People's Committee of Phu Yen province has just decided to establish a Geopark; Phu Yen Geopark will be preserved intact and exploited, used reasonably, sustainably, and comprehensively with the values ​​of geological heritage, geomorphology, natural landscape, cultural identity (tangible, intangible), and biodiversity.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province is assigned to preside over and coordinate with agencies and units to advise the Provincial People's Committee to develop a dossier to submit to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for recognition as a Global Geopark.

“When Phu Yen Geopark is recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark, it is an international tourism product that helps attract international tourists to Phu Yen, thereby affirming the position of Phu Yen tourism brand…”, said Director of Phu Yen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thi Hong Thai.
