On March 29, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its founding (1985 - 2025), receiving the First Class Labor Medal. General Secretary To Lam sent a flower basket to congratulate teachers and students of the school.
Attending the ceremony were Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society Nguyen Dac Vinh, Chairman of the National Assembly Deputies' Working Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha, along with representatives of leaders of ministries, departments, central agencies, Hanoi City; international ambassadors, many generations of school administrators, teachers, parents, and students through the periods.

Speaking at the ceremony, teacher Tran Thuy Duong, the school's principal, was moved to say: the anniversary is a special event, a joy and pride for generations of teachers and students of the school.
Established in 1985, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted is a gift from the people of Amsterdam - Netherlands to Hanoi after years of war, a crystallization of the Vietnam - Netherlands friendship, a symbol of the aspiration for peace and development.

At the ceremony, there was a meaningful and solemn torch handover ceremony between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam and generations of teachers and students of the school to extend the spirit of solidarity and friendship.
In recognition of the outstanding achievements in training the young generation, the President decided to award the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted the First Class Labor Medal.
During the 40 years of development, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has been honored to receive many noble awards and titles from the Party and State: First, Second, Third Class Labor Medals, Labor Hero in the Renovation Period, Second and Third Class Independence Medals.... From the 2014 - 2015 school year to the 2022 - 2023 school year, the school has continuously been awarded the title of Excellent Task Completion Collective, Emulation Flag of the City, Emulation Flag of the Government...
