4 projects put into operation on the same day help complete traffic infrastructure, reduce traffic congestion, and create development momentum for the South and West areas of Ho Chi Minh City.
This morning (December 30), 4 traffic works were opened to traffic and put into operation to serve people on the occasion of New Year 2025, invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board).
In the South of Ho Chi Minh City, there are 3 projects including: Phuoc Long Bridge with a total investment of 737 billion VND; HC1 underpass at the Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Huu Tho intersection (connecting District 7 with Binh Chanh and Nha Be districts) with an investment of 830 billion VND (phase 1); The project to upgrade and expand the parallel road of National Highway 50 with nearly 1,500 billion VND will put into operation a nearly 2km long section from Trinh Quang Nghi Street to the intersection of the parallel road and National Highway 50 (Binh Chanh district).
In the western area of Ho Chi Minh City, there is a project to upgrade and expand Tan Ky Tan Quy Street (Binh Tan District). The project has an investment of more than 237 billion VND (not including the land clearance cost of 995 billion VND implemented by the Compensation and Land Clearance Board of Binh Tan District).
Mr. Luong Minh Phuc - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Department said that in the last month of the year, in the South of Ho Chi Minh City, there were 4 projects including Rach Dia bridge in early November and 3 projects opened to traffic today, helping to complete the traffic infrastructure in the South, reducing congestion on the axis connecting District 7 with Nha Be district.
“In 2025, the transport sector will continue to start construction of Rach Tom Bridge and Rach Doi Bridge, call for investment to expand Nguyen Huu Tho Street, build intersections connecting National Highway 50 with Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, start construction of Nguyen Khoi Bridge and Road, complete the National Highway 50 expansion project... helping the traffic infrastructure system in the South of Ho Chi Minh City become more and more complete,” Mr. Phuc emphasized.
In the western area of Ho Chi Minh City, after a 2km road expansion, the Tan Ky Tan Quy bridge project will also reach its completion date on January 20, 2025. The city will continue to expand this road through Tan Phu and Tan Binh districts to help synchronize with the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road, creating a continuous traffic axis from National Highway 1 (Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 2) to Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat Airport.
