At the meeting, the draft report, project and resolution on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Binh Duong province in 2025 were approved.
According to the arrangement plan, there are 36 commune-level administrative units (AUs). The arrangement of administrative units ensures standards on natural area and population size to ensure standards of AUs at the commune level according to Resolution No. 76/2025/UBTVQH15.
The commune-level administrative units after the rearrangement must meet the requirements of organizing local government at the commune level close to the people, operating effectively, efficiently and effectively; maximizing the potential and advantages of economic development of each locality to promote the overall socio-economic development of the commune-level administrative units after the rearrangement.
According to the arrangement project, from 91 communes and wards after the merger, there will be 36 administrative units, including 24 wards and 12 communes. All 36 commune-level administrative units meet and exceed the standards prescribed in Resolution No. 76/2025/UBTVQH15.
According to the project, Di An ward becomes the ward with the largest population, with 227,817 people/natural area of 21.375 km2; ranked second in population size is An Phu ward with 162,930 people/natural area of 16.851 km2.
Meanwhile, Phu Giao commune is the unit with the largest natural area of 192.833 km2, population size of 42,739 people; ranked second is Dau Tieng commune with an area of 182.685 km2, population size of 39,056 people.
Thoi Hoa Ward is the only ward that meets the standards in terms of area and population, so it remains the same with a natural area of 37,930 km2 and a population of 79,601 people.
The meeting also discussed, exchanged and consulted on a number of contents on: Draft Decision supplementing Decision No. 3024/QD-UBND dated November 3, 2016 of the Provincial People's Committee approving the Urban Development Program of Binh Duong province for the period 2016 - 2020; Draft Resolution approving the additional list of land plots for bidding to select investors to implement investment projects using land in Binh Duong province...
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh basically agreed with the contents of the submission and the drafts, and noted that localities need to urgently review, complete, and supplement the planning and urban development programs in the locality. In particular, the implementation of urban planning requires close coordination between departments, branches and localities according to the guidance and direction of the Ministry of Construction to serve socio-economic development.
For some projects such as planning, calling for investment in building a people's cemetery, investing in a new waste treatment area in Phu Giao district, it is urgent to speed up the completion of investment policies and bidding work to implement the project, serving the socio-economic development of the province in the coming time...
Area and population scale of 36 commune-level administrative units of Binh Duong province (according to the project): 1. Establish Dong Hoa ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the wards: Binh An, Binh Thang, Dong Hoa with a natural area of 21,893 km2 (reaching 398.06% compared to regulations), population size is 132,056 people (reaching 293.46% compared to regulations). 2. Establish Di An ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the wards: Di An, An Binh and the neighborhoods: Chieu Lieu, Chieu Lieu A, Dong Chieu, Dong Chieu A, Tan Long, Dong Tac of Tan Dong Hiep ward, with a natural area of 21.375 km2 (reaching 388.64% compared to regulations), population size of 227,817 people (reaching 506.26% compared to regulations). 3. Establish Tan Dong Hiep ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Tan Binh ward and the following neighborhoods: Dong Thanh, Dong An, Tan An of Tan Dong Hiep ward; Ba Dinh, Tan Ba, My Hiep, Tan My of Thai Hoa ward, with a natural area of 21.446 km2 (reaching 390.30% of the regulation), population size of 100,243 people (reaching 222.76% of the regulation). 4. Establish Thuan An ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of An Son commune and the wards of Hung Dinh and An Thanh with a natural area of 16,108 km2 (reaching 292.87% of the regulation), population size of 64,689 people (reaching 143.75% of the regulation). 5. Establish Thuan Giao ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Thuan Giao ward and the neighborhoods: Binh Quoi A, Binh Quoi B, Binh Phu belonging to Binh Chuan ward with a natural area of 16.805 km2 (reaching 305.55% compared to regulations), population size is 150,781 people (reaching 335.07% compared to regulations). 6. Establish Binh Hoa ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Binh Hoa ward and Trung, Dong, Phu Hoi quarters of Vinh Phu ward, with a natural area of 18.493 km2 (reaching 336.24% compared to regulations), population size of 120,035 people (reaching 266.74% compared to regulations). 7. Establish Lai Thieu ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the wards: Lai Thieu, Binh Nham and the neighborhoods: Hoa Long, Tay of Vinh Phu ward with a natural area of 15.461 km2 (reaching 281.11% compared to regulations), population size is 118,852 people (reaching 264.12% compared to regulations). 8. Establish An Phu ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of An Phu ward and the following neighborhoods: Binh Phuoc A, Binh Phuoc B belonging to Binh Chuan ward with a natural area of 16.851 km2 (reaching 306.38% compared to regulations), population size is 162,930 people (reaching 362.07% compared to regulations). 9. Establish Binh Duong ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the wards: Hoa Phu, Phu My, Phu Tan, Phu Chanh with a natural area of 58.157 km2 (reaching 1,057.40% compared to regulations), population size is 107,576 people (reaching 239.06% compared to regulations). 10. Establish Chanh Hiep ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the wards: Dinh Hoa, Tuong Binh Hiep and the neighborhoods: 6, 8, 9 of Hiep An ward; Chanh Loc 3, Chanh Loc 4, Chanh Loc 5, Chanh Loc 6, My Hao 1, My Hao 2 of Chanh My ward, with a natural area of 19.664 km2 (reaching 357.52% compared to regulations), population size of 56,387 people (reaching 125.30% compared to regulations). 11. Establish Thu Dau Mot ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the wards: Phu Cuong, Phu Tho, Chanh Nghia and the neighborhoods: 1, 2, 3, 4 of Hiep Thanh ward; Chanh Loc 1, Chanh Loc 2, Chanh Loc 7 of Chanh My ward with a natural area of 15.682 km2 (reaching 285.13% compared to regulations), population size is 88,132 people (reaching 195.85% compared to regulations). 12. Establish Phu Loi ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of wards: Phu Loi, Phu Hoa and neighborhoods: 5, 6, 7, 8 of Hiep Thanh ward with a natural area of 17.956 km2 (reaching 326.48% compared to regulations), population size is 107,721 people (reaching 239.38% compared to regulations). 13. Establish Vinh Tan ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Tan Binh town and Vinh Tan ward with a natural area of 61.346 km2 (reaching 1,115.37% compared to regulations), population size of 61,865 people (reaching 137.48% compared to regulations). 14. Establish Binh Co ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Binh My commune and Hoi Nghia ward with a natural area of 73.694 km2 (reaching 1,339.89% of the regulation), population size of 64,601 people (reaching 143.56% of the regulation). 15. Establish Tan Uyen ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: Bach Dang, Tan Lap and hamlets: 2, 3, Xom Den, Vuon Vu, Bung Luong of Tan My commune and Uyen Hung ward with a natural area of 87.607 km2 (reaching 1,592.86% compared to regulations), population size is 73,032 people (reaching 162.29% compared to regulations). 16. Establish Tan Hiep ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the wards: Khanh Binh, Tan Hiep has a natural area of 47.059 km2 (reaching 855.63% compared to regulations), population size is 142,494 people (reaching 316.65% compared to regulations). 17. Establish Tan Khanh ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Thanh Hoi commune and the wards: Thanh Phuoc, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Tan Vinh Hiep and the neighborhoods: Phuoc Thai, Phuoc Hai, An Thanh, Vinh Phuoc belonging to Thai Hoa ward with a natural area of 38.273 km2 (reaching 695.87% compared to regulations), population size of 126,393 people (reaching 280.87% compared to regulations). 18. Establish Phu An ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Phu An commune, Tan An ward and neighborhoods: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 of Hiep An ward with a natural area of 35.192 km2 (reaching 639.86% compared to regulations), population size is 46,931 people (reaching 104.29% compared to regulations). 19. Establish Tay Nam ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the hamlets: Kien An, Ho Can of An Lap commune; Cho, Lam Vo, Go Moi, Xom Lam, Xom Bung, Xom Ben, Suoi Cat, Le Danh Cat, Bung Cong, Rach Kien of Thanh Tuyen commune and An Tay ward with a natural area of 119.796 km2 (reaching 2,178.11% compared to regulations), population size of 56,784 people (reaching 126.19% compared to regulations). 20. Establish Long Nguyen ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Long Nguyen commune, An Dien ward and residential area 1 of My Phuoc ward with a natural area of 108.003 km2 (reaching 1,963.69% compared to regulations), population size is 53,387 people (reaching 118.64% compared to regulations). 21. Establish Ben Cat ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: Tan Hung, Lai Hung and wards 2, 3, 4, 5 of My Phuoc ward with a natural area of 100.893 km2 (reaching 1,834.42% compared to regulations), population size is 97,928 people (reaching 217.62% compared to regulations). 22. Establish Chanh Phu Hoa ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Hung Hoa commune and Chanh Phu Hoa ward with a natural area of 69.543 km2 (reaching 1,264.42% compared to regulations), population size is 53,916 people (reaching 119.81% compared to regulations). 23. Establish Thoi Hoa ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Thoi Hoa ward, with a natural area of 37,930 km2 (reaching 689.64% of the regulation), population size of 79,601 people (reaching 176.89% of the regulation). 24. Establish Hoa Loi ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the wards: Tan Dinh, Hoa Loi has a natural area of 33.589 km2 (reaching 610.70% compared to regulations), population size is 79,694 people (reaching 177.10% compared to regulations). 25. Establish Bac Tan Uyen commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: Dat Cuoc, Tan Dinh and Tan Thanh town with a natural area of 143.694 km2 (reaching 478.98% compared to regulations), population size is 27,964 people (reaching 174.78% compared to regulations). 26. Establish Thuong Tan commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: Thuong Tan, Lac An, Hieu Liem and hamlets: 1, Giap Lac belonging to Tan My commune with a natural area of 127.763 km2 (reaching 425.88% compared to regulations), population size is 21,238 people (reaching 132.74% compared to regulations). 27. Establish An Long commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: An Linh, An Long, Tan Long with a natural area of 100.045 km2 (reaching 333.48% compared to regulations), population size is 17,906 people (reaching 111.91% compared to regulations). 28. Establish Phuoc Thanh commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: An Thai, Phuoc Sang, Tan Hiep with a natural area of 123.494 km2 (reaching 411.65% compared to regulations), population size is 15,803 people (reaching 98.77% compared to regulations). 29. Establish Phuoc Hoa commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: Vinh Hoa, Phuoc Hoa and the hamlets: Cay Kho, Doi Chuot of Tam Lap commune with a natural area of 128.067 km2 (reaching 426.89% compared to regulations), population size is 42,470 people (reaching 265.44% compared to regulations). 30. Establish Phu Giao commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the hamlets: Gia Bien, Dong Tam of Tam Lap commune; An Binh commune and Phuoc Vinh town with a natural area of 192.833 km2 (reaching 642.78% compared to regulations), population size of 42,739 people (reaching 267.12% compared to regulations). 31. Establish Tru Van Tho commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: Tru Van Tho, Cay Truong II and Bau Long quarter of Lai Uyen town with a natural area of 76.556 km2 (reaching 255.19% compared to regulations), population size of 24,533 people (reaching 153.33% compared to regulations). 32. Establish Bau Bang commune on the basis of natural area and population size of Lai Uyen town (except Bau Long quarter) with a natural area of 84.089 km2 (reaching 280.30% compared to regulations), population size is 42,219 people (reaching 263.87% compared to regulations). 33. Establish Minh Thanh commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Minh Hoa commune and the hamlets: Tan Binh, Tan Thanh, Tan Phu, Tan Duc, Tan Tien of Minh Tan commune; Cay Lieu, Dong Son, Dong Be, Lo Gach, Tan Minh of Minh Thanh commune with a natural area of 159.059 km2 (reaching 530.20% compared to regulations), population size of 24,215 people (reaching 151.34% compared to regulations). 34. Establish Long Hoa commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: Long Tan, Long Hoa and the hamlets: Tan Dinh of Minh Tan commune; Cam Xe, Can Don of Minh Thanh commune with a natural area of 166.756 km2 (reaching 555.85% compared to regulations), population size of 25,215 people (reaching 157.59% compared to regulations). 35. Establish Dau Tieng commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: Dinh An, Dinh Thanh and the hamlets: Dinh Loc, Hiep Tho, Hiep Loc, Hiep Phuoc of Dinh Hiep commune and Dau Tieng town with a natural area of 182.685 km2 (reaching 608.95% compared to regulations), population size of 39,056 people (reaching 244.10% compared to regulations). 36.
