However, through field inspection, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ngoc Lac district has discovered that the whole district has 32.6 hectares of cassava infected with mosaic disease, concentrated in Kien Tho, Phuc Thinh, and Nguyet An communes. When cassava is infected with mosaic disease, the young leaves curl up, wrinkle, and have light yellow spots.
This is a dangerous disease that greatly affects the growth and productivity of cassava. Cassava mosaic disease can spread very quickly if not prevented promptly and thoroughly.

Faced with that situation, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ngoc Lac district has coordinated with localities to implement measures to prevent and control cassava mosaic disease. At the same time, statistics on the area, planting time, structure and origin of cassava varieties in the area; coordinate with Phuc Thinh Agricultural and Forestry Products and Agricultural Materials Production and Processing Joint Stock Company to prepare sprays to prevent cassava mosaic disease for farmers; at the same time, propagate and instruct farmers on the symptoms, causes, methods of spread, harm and measures to manage cassava mosaic disease. Instruct farmers to clean up the banks, plot banks, isolate the infected cassava area, spray whiteflies, and completely destroy the source of the disease; for areas with severe disease, remove and destroy them to plant other crops.
