According to data from the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) in Vietnam, in 2024, the total number of Vietnamese visitors to the land of cherry blossoms will reach 621,100, an increase of 8.2% over the previous year and up to 25.5% over 2019.
This is the second consecutive year that the number of Vietnamese visitors to Japan has reached an all-time high, reflecting continued growth in interest in Japanese tourism.
Along with that, this agency has just introduced impressive spring destinations where visitors can admire cherry blossoms and fully enjoy rich cuisine.
Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival, Aomori Prefecture
The Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival , held annually in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, is one of the most famous festivals in Japan, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.

Hirosaki Park features a stunning setting where the beauty of around 50 different types of cherry blossoms blends with traditional Japanese culture. At night, the cherry blossoms and Hirosaki Castle are lit up, creating a magical and enchanting scene.
The festival takes place at Hirosaki Park, which features about 2,600 cherry blossom trees. The park has also been selected by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association as one of the "100 Best Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan." This year, the festival is scheduled to take place from April 18 to May 5.
Chichibu Hitsujiyama Park, Saitama Prefecture
Located in Chichibu City, Chichibu Hitsujiyama Park is a popular destination for viewing the brilliant colors of the moss phlox in spring. This is a perennial herb that spreads across the ground, displaying small flowers that resemble cherry blossoms.
The azalea flowers are attractive with their vibrant colors of pink, white and purple. More than 400,000 flowers are planted on a 17,600m2 land, creating a vivid natural picture.

The flowers bloom from April to May every year, the entire campus is covered with colorful and enchanting flower carpets.
Currently, Chichibu Hitsujiyama Park has free admission, except for the Shibazakura Hill area, which sells tickets for 300 yen (about 50,000 VND).
To get there, visitors can depart from Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo and take the Seibu Railway Limited Express to Seibu-Chichibu Station. From Seibu-Chichibu Station, visitors can walk about 20 minutes to get there.
Expo 70 Commemorative Park in Osaka
The park was also selected by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan." It is also a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, with about 5,500 trees of 12 varieties blooming here.

This year, the cherry blossom viewing event is scheduled to be held along the cherry blossom-filled route along Higashioji Street, stretching over 200 meters.
Among them, the work named "Tower of the Sun" designed by artist Taro Okamoto, built at the Osaka Expo in 1970, is still popular and will be the symbol of this year's festival.
Park admission fees range from 80 yen to 260 yen (15,000 VND - 45,000 VND).
To get there from Osaka, take the subway to Senri-Chuo Station, then take the Osaka Monorail and get off at Bampaku-Kinen-Koen Station.
