This is the second time in the past 20 days that the Costa Serena cruise ship (Italy) has brought guests to Ha Long.

According to the Quang Ninh Media Center, after the Costa Serena cruise ship docked at Ha Long International Passenger Port, travel agencies and ports organized shuttles, introduced and promoted to tourists special sightseeing and tourism activities in the province.

In particular, visitors will have many attractive experiences at the world heritage - natural wonder of Ha Long Bay, visit Quang Ninh Museum, city tour to experience culture, cuisine and many other tourist attractions.

Mr. Pham Van Hiep, director of Ha Long International Passenger Port, said the excitement of international cruises with many new shipping lines right from the beginning of the season shows a positive sign for cruise tourism.

“In particular, after the severe impact of Typhoon Yagi, shipping lines still have confidence in the infrastructure and service quality of Quang Ninh tourism. Thereby, affirming the potential and brand of Quang Ninh tourism in the eyes of international partners” – Mr. Hiep shared.

According to statistics from the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism in 2024, this locality welcomed a total of 42 international cruise ships, bringing more than 50,000 visitors of many different nationalities to Ha Long.

According to the plan, from now until the end of the year there will be 13 trains with about 15,000 passengers coming to Quang Ninh.

In particular, the Costa Serena cruise will return to Ha Long 3 more times on the Hong Kong – Ha Long – Hong Kong itinerary.

On October 21, the Viking Orion ship will bring more than 1,000 European visitors to the province, marking the milestone of Quang Ninh welcoming 3 million international visitors this year, completing the 2024 plan set by Quang Ninh province.

From November 15, the high-speed train route connecting Ha Long - Cat Ba will depart.

According to Quang Ninh Electronic Information Portal, on October 18, at Ha Long International Passenger Port, the Tuan Chau Express high-speed ship operated by Havaco Investment Joint Stock Company tested the route Ha Long (Quang Ninh) - Cat Ba (Hai Phong City).

The boat runs daily, departing from Tuan Chau international passenger port at 7:30 am and arriving at Dong Ho Bay (Cat Ba town center) at 8:30 am.

Then, the ship will take passengers from Dong Ho Bay to Dong Bai Port and return to Dong Ho Bay. At 3:00 p.m. the same day, the ship from Dong Ho Bay returns to Ha Long International Passenger Port.

It takes locals and tourists only about 1 hour to travel from Ha Long to Cat Ba town center at a price of 250,000 VND/person/trip.

Tuan Chau Express is the first modern high-speed sea passenger transport route to operate, connecting the heritage area of ​​Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba archipelago.
