This is the first time in nine years that the Sow Home, Reap Home Fund exhibition has been held at the museum.
24 paintings were selected by curator Ngo Kim Khoi to create a unique exhibition, converging many different styles and personalities of contemporary artists, most of whom have already established their names.
Still life, landscape and portraits dominate the exhibition room.
Interspersed between paintings of cool natural landscapes and still lifes, mainly emotional paintings of flowers and leaves, are emotional portraits.
That is the mysterious, profound beauty of Vietnamese women in Tu Tinh by Bui Tien Tuan; the gentle, shy beauty of Em Hanh through the romantic brushstrokes of Thanh Tuan.
Or the purity and simplicity of a Ha Giang girl amidst the brilliant yellow of the mustard flower season in Bui Van Tuat's painting.
Besides, the touches of abstract, thoughtful lines in Mai Duy Minh's Untitled and Vu Muoi's Quiet Night are indispensable.
Artists participating in the exhibition all donate 70-100% of the value of the paintings sold to the Sow Home, Reap Home Fund.
The organizers aim for this exhibition to help build 10 houses for disadvantaged families.
The exhibition lasts until March 31.
