220 million VND/night to experience the presidential suite in the tallest building in Vietnam

After a long wait, we finally had the chance to set foot in the presidential suite of the Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection hotel - one of the tallest hotels in Vietnam today. "Last week, a businessman came to book a room for one night, but then decided to stay the whole week because he liked it so much here," Ms. Tran Thi My Dung - Sales and Marketing Director of Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection hotel - shared with us the reason for postponing the appointment. The identity of this special guest is kept confidential to ensure privacy, but with a price of 220 million VND/night, the story of a businessman spending more than 1.5 billion VND to stay just because he "liked it so much" has partly sketched a portrait of the upper-class guests of this presidential suite: People looking for the most luxurious, classy experience that is not easily found anywhere else. The room in question occupies the entire 68th floor of Landmark 81 (HCMC) - the tallest building in Vietnam and the second tallest in Southeast Asia. The elevator moves quite quickly and smoothly. Only when our ears start to ring because we have not yet adapted to the height in a short time do we realize that we are "among the clouds". According to the disclosure, this elevator moves at a speed of up to 8m/s and is the fastest elevator system in Vietnam today. Thanks to this speed, visitors only take less than 1 minute to move from the ground floor to the top floor. The elevator speed here is estimated to be 1/3 of the speed of the cheetah Sarah - the animal known as the fastest in the world. As soon as the elevator stops at the 68th floor, the city view is in full view because the room is made of transparent glass on all sides. This is also the room with the best view of the hotel, able to welcome the most brilliant sunrise and sunset. The first difference of this room compared to other common hotels is that the ceiling is designed quite high, surrounded by tempered glass allowing visitors to see the whole city from any position in the room. A long hallway leads us into the spacious living room, with a long, expensive leather sofa as the focal point. A glass coffee table reflects the light and high-end armchairs surround it, creating a luxurious living space. Right behind the sofa is the bar and kitchen area. The kitchen area is equipped with modern appliances, ready to serve personal cooking needs or organize luxurious parties. And just like the presidential suite in any hotel, guests always have the privilege of requesting a butler or bartender to serve them 24/7 when they have special needs. In addition, a separate entrance is discreetly arranged next to the kitchen so that staff can come to serve without affecting the privacy of guests.
Next to the living room and bar area is a large working desk, arranged in a minimalist but luxurious style. In front is a spacious balcony, opening up a clear view of the entire city below. Combined with the natural light from the balcony, the soft yellow light creates a comfortable working space. The master bedroom is designed with a large double bed, a balcony on the left, and a panoramic view of the city through transparent glass on the right and in front. This is an ideal location to welcome both sunrise and sunset from above.
Although the room is covered with tempered glass that allows natural light to flood in, the room temperature is always kept cool with an easy-to-use touch screen control system. According to Dan Tri reporters, the butlers here are well-trained with international standard service skills to fully meet the requirements of VIP customers, from preparing meals to arranging resting spaces for guests.
The bathroom is spacious and airy, with a large mirror reflecting the bustling city view. This area includes a standing shower and a marble bathtub with many relaxing massage modes. The bathroom is surrounded by transparent mirrors, allowing guests to soak in the tub while enjoying the view. This is considered a "very valuable" experience. The hotel representative said that because it is located high in the tallest building in Vietnam, visitors do not have to worry about privacy when using this "transparent bathroom". The dressing area is designed as a separate room, equipped with many wardrobes, drawers, shelves, and safes to meet all storage needs. This space is also equipped with modern amenities, creating a convenient and comfortable dressing corner. According to the current listed price, each night in this presidential suite costs about 220 million VND. Despite the high price, according to the hotel, this room still maintains an average booking rate of 15-20 days per month. Most guests book rooms here to relax and organize important events with family and friends. Others take advantage of the luxurious space of the presidential suite to display products, welcome partners, discuss work and close contracts. Ms. Tran Thi My Dung shared: "With flexible space, we often organize parties for VIP guests with a capacity of up to 50 people. The living room area is arranged to be adjusted to suit the needs of each customer, to ensure the most personalized and classy experience." Compared to the old, historical hotels in Ho Chi Minh City, Vinpearl Landmark 81 Hotel, Autograph Collection is still a young name, having only been in operation for more than 5 years. From the 47th floor up of the Landmark 81 building is a system of 223 rooms and suites. The "money-making" point is that all room categories here have beautiful views, allowing you to see the whole city from above, from the winding Saigon River to the cool green areas of the park below, blending with the hustle and bustle of the "never-sleeping" city. According to the hotel's media representative, it is the hotel's special location that has created a highlight, attracted guests and won major awards in the tourism service industry.
In 2019, after less than 1 year of operation, Vinpearl Landmark 81 surpassed hundreds of hotels worldwide to win the title of "World's Leading Riverfront Hotel" at the World Travel Awards - a prestigious tourism award, dubbed the "Oscar of the international tourism industry".
