At this time, the Parents' Association of class 7/1 organized a party for the students on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Accordingly, each student was given a cup of milk tea purchased from Co Ba Saigon Tea and Sweet Soup Shop (address 19 Phung Hung Street, Pleiku City). There were 46 students given milk tea.

At around 9:30 a.m., some children showed signs of stomachache, nausea, and dizziness. The Board of Directors notified the Ward Health Station to come and check, verify, and provide support.

Initial verification results showed that 34/46 students drank milk tea. Of these, 21 students had stomachaches, dizziness, and vomiting. Many students were taken to the emergency room by their families and to the medical station for examination.

Immediately afterwards, Pleiku City Medical Center came to inspect and take food samples; regularly monitor the health status of the students.

At 2:10 p.m. the same day, according to reports from the Board of Directors of Ton Duc Thang School and the Ward Health Station, the health of the students was basically stable. Currently, one student is being treated at Hoang Anh Gia Lai Hospital because he still has a stomachache and a slight fever.
