On April 14, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) said that contractors are rushing to complete the final items of Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport.

This nearly 11,000 billion VND station is considered the highlight of key traffic projects that the Prime Minister directed to be completed and put into operation on the occasion of the April 30 holiday.

Up to now, T3 terminal has completed the entire terminal roof and auxiliary works, building facade glass, floor tiling and installation, connection of electromechanical equipment (UC) and power supply.

The final stages such as cleaning, completing the terminal gate area, testing the conveyor belt, notice boards, check-in counters and testing simulated flights... are being accelerated with a spirit of urgency.

Modern electromechanical equipment, conveyor belts, electronic boards and signage will help passengers move conveniently and quickly in the new terminal.

The system of check-in counters and the entrance to the isolation area waiting for flights has been completed and equipped with modern equipment. When put into operation, Terminal T3 will serve all domestic flights of the two airlines Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air. In the photo, the Vietnam Airlines check-in counter on the 3rd floor.

In recent days, the contractor has continuously tested the conveyor system to ensure stable operation before putting it into operation.

According to the plan, flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don ( Quang Ninh ) will be transferred to this terminal from April 17, earlier than the original plan. In recent days, the contractor has mobilized about 200 workers to focus on general cleaning and tidying up the lobby and waiting room to keep up with the schedule.

The general cleaning work is expected to be completed before April 17.

Recently, ACV also sent a report to the State Inspection Council on the acceptance of the construction of Terminal T3, Tan Son Nhat Airport.

ACV said the project was constructed in accordance with the approved design documents, and the results of experiments, inspections, testing, and trial runs met the technical requirements of the construction design. Currently, Terminal T3 has met all the conditions to put the construction project into use.

It is expected that the number of passengers passing through Tan Son Nhat during the April 30 holiday this year could reach 120,000/day. Speeding up the progress of putting the T3 terminal into operation is of great significance, helping to reduce overload pressure and improve service quality.

In particular, the terminal is designed with 8 security control gates and a separate area for VIP, business class and priority passengers.
